No clue how I went so long without this

Good vacuum but disappointing

I was very excited to make this purchase however, the actual design being almost entirely plastic construction was disappointing. It just feels very cheap despite superb suction. It's a good vacuum but the canister does NOT dispense dirt or hair very well. I am having to stick my hand in there to pull it out. The accessories are difficult to use because of a cumbersome wand. Overall, a decent product but not worth the $$ unless you're able to get it on sale for around $300.

Our Dyson Cinetic upright features ball technology, with a central steering mechanism, for greater control and no awkward moves. They are also out first machines to feature no filters to wash or replace, thanks to the oscillating Dyson Cinetic tips located in the cyclone pack.
The Dyson Cinetic is a heavier machine; one thing that you may notice, however, is the brush bar of your machine may help to move the machine along the carpet due to the natural rotation of the brush bar. Also, rest assured, Dyson machines are made from polycarbonate ABS, which is same material used in riot shields and crash helmets. They are tough, so we subject them to 50,000 hours of testing and 550 individual tests – all to ensure that they can withstand a lifetime’s hard use. This new dyson has excellent suction and pick up! The only thing is I have to constantly stop to empty the canister, but I have two big dogs a husky and a lab and it really picks up the hair and dirt on and in the carpet. One thing I wish this one had that the last one had is a place where all the attachments could be secured for easy retrieval. A big plus is no filter to wash or change. Overall I love it and highly recommend it!
