We bought this one and are highly disappointed in the quality of material and hassle with emptying the canister. The handle twists and feels like it’s going to break when you turn it, you can not push it without a loud click, it’s hard to get to stand in the up right position. The product has gotten cheeper in quality of materials and is not worth the price. I would pay this price and then some for the older model.

Our Dyson Cinetic Big Ball Total Clean upright vacuum features ball technology, with a central steering mechanism, for greater control and no awkward moves. They are also out first machines to feature no filters to wash or replace, thanks to the oscillating Dyson Cinetic tips located in the cyclone pack.
The Dyson Cinetic is a heavier machine; one thing that you may notice, however, is the brush bar of your machine may help to move the machine along the carpet due to the natural rotation of the brush bar. Also, rest assured, Dyson machines are made from polycarbonate ABS, which is same material used in riot shields and crash helmets. They are tough, so we subject them to 50,000 hours of testing and 550 individual tests – all to ensure that they can withstand a lifetime’s hard use. I had the D-65 Animal Upright before. I had to order and replace the Power Nozzle several times due to the brush head design and hair/fur getting caught up between the longer and shorter parts of the brush roll and breaking it. I really should've gone with my gut and not purchased another Dyson, but review after review convinced me to give it another try, so I bought this one in February 2019. I have already had to replace the power nozzle/brush roll two times for the same issue on this vacuum....it is supposed to pick up animal fur and hair without issues, right????? Now the cyclone assembly somehow lost a little part resulting in poor suction. I am very very disappointed in how poorly designed these vacuums are considering the price paid for them. The quality of materials used is cheap too. If you don't have much fur or people with long hair in your house, it is probably fine. We have one golden retriever and this vacuum can not keep up.

The suction is wonderful, but it is very, very difficult to maneuver. My wife, a petite, 5'-2", 110lbs, was way overmatched in using this machine. I used the vacuum, as well, as I do most oif the vacuuming, and I was weary when I finished using this machine. Do not get me wrong, a very good vacuum, if you have the strength and stamina to use it regularly.
