Avoid the Ball

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Maybe we got a defective unit, but the lines/protruding grooves on the ball left tracks behind the vacuum so that when we finished up, it looked like toy trains had driven all over the carpets. Completely unusable. Suction was very strong, but those lines made the carpet look WORSE after using the vacuum than before we used it. We tried it on two different all-wool carpets, one about 1/2" thick with a pattern and the other a 3/4" berber. Same tracks on both carpets. We also have a V11 Animal and that works fine with no tracks. The problem with this vacuum is not the suction. The problem, at least for us, was the ball.
