They are also our first machines to feature no filters to wash or replace, thanks to the oscillating Dyson Cinetic tips located in the cyclone pack. The Dyson Cinetic is a heavier machine; one thing that you may notice, however, is the brush bar of your machine may help to move the machine along the carpet due to the natural rotation of the brush bar. We can also confirm that any of the tools or attachments can be used on either the wand or hose directly, for added flexibility.

Too much suction, it won’t move on carpet

I looked it up online and there are all these videos on how to take apart the vacuum in order to fix this problem. To me I don’t think it’s worth spending $600 on a vacuum that needs to be fixed right out of the box. Would absolutely not recommend.

This machine features Dyson ball technology, which allows for easy navigation with the turn of a wrist. The cleaner head on this machine is self-adjusting, meaning that it raises and lowers to seal in suction across all floors. Ultimately, the machine being hard to push will likely be the result of suction forming an air tight seal between the cleaner head and the floor. Dyson machines have higher levels of suction power - while this works for a majority of carpets, there are select fibers that may not be compatible. The air seal would be limited due to the suction power of the machine, from the result of the high suction and the self-adjusting feature.

This Dyson didn’t last 17 months

This unit had issues with suction after about 6-8 months and now 17 months after original date of sale, I am being told that fixing the broken component and repairs wouldn’t be worth the unit. So essentially, if you don’t spend the extra $$$ for the warranty, you basically spend hundreds of dollars for a vacuum that doesn’t last with regular use longer than a few months. Very upset with this purchase.

Maintenance Nightmare!

Ever single time I vacuum, I have to disassemble the head and clean all the hair from the little parts that the brushes connect to. If I don’t, hair becomes trapped in the small spaces and eventually melts the plastic pieces from friction. Oh and not only do I have to disassemble the head every time I vacuum, the little screw heads strip easily, so I have to use all my strength to unscrew and screw them back in. Horrible design from a company that prides itself on its engineering capabilities. Stay away from this overpriced junk vacuum .

It does not pick up stuff and gets clogged so easy. I upgraded to a Dyson with hope that it would be better than my Hoover's but it's not. I have to vacuum over the same spot 3-5 times to get it to actually vacuum my carpet.
