    Cleans good but expensive

I bought the Dyson Outsize Total Clean Cordless Vacuum at Best Buy. I chose this one because it has a bigger roller at the bottom and would cover more floor. The top is a little heavy but it's not a big deal. It's much quieter than my Oreck vacuum. I feel like it cleans well. I have 3 dogs and the canister is full when I am done. I vacuum my house every day. I definitely would recommend this product - especially if you want something easy to push. Also, I have wood tile, wood floors and one room with carpet. My only complaint is the price. It's the most expensive vacuum I've every purchased.

After using it for 7 months, it lost the sucking power. The small parts of it got broken and became useless. The biggest negative point of it is that it doesn’t vacuum from sides and doesn’t vacuum anything that is not coming under it. Overall - not recommending

    Best vac on the market

This is the best vacuum I've ever used. It's quiet, thoughtfully designed, has plenty of suction and air velocity, comes with a good set of attachments, and two batteries give me enough runtime to do the whole house with plenty of juice to spare. And there's an extra charger for the second battery. The "auto" feature works great - automatically regulates the motor speed, increasing battery life without sacrificing cleaning power. It's a little heavier than most cordless stick vacs but worth every ounce. When installing the wall mount, I recommend using better wall anchors than the ones supplied (like I did) ...or just screwing directly into a stud.

Best vacuum I’ve had so but still can be improved

It’s a great vacuum. It has good suction, easily maneuvers and adjusts from one type of floor to the next, and I LOVE not having to deal with a cord. With my old vacuum, I got so tired of plugging the cord in and unplugging it from room to room or when going upstairs. Plus it was always getting caught on a door or chair leg. It drove me nuts! With this one, I just pick it up and go from room to room until I’m done. My battery usually lasts the whole time but if it ever dies, I have the second battery fully charged on the charger and ready to go. The bin is easy to empty too. The only cons for me are NO hose, and you have to be careful where you set it because it doesn’t stand on its own. If it falls it may break (per other reviews too). As for the hose, it’s just not the same trying to get under a fridge or trying to vacuum dust out of window sills or on blinds with a straight/hard attachment. I need a bendable hose. Plus holding the whole vacuum up higher for those projects isn’t easy…the vacuum can get heavy. I think this could easily be remedied with making a hose attachment and adding a feature so it can be laid down (for when you’re using the hose).

You would think if you spend $850.00 on this vacuum you would get a instruction booklet. Nope ! You get a sticker inside the box, stating that i need to download a app . Seriously i dont need a app to put a vacuum together and use it. They claim environmental reasons , frankly its a lame excuse to save a little money. Im returning this crap and getting a refund.

It's expensive, but you get what you pay for. Swappable batteries enable me to vacuum the whole house in one session, and the bin is big enough to actually be useful. I previously had a V6 Animal, and I'd have to empty the bin several times per room. Great suction as well, it lifted out a ton of dog hair from the carpet that's probably been there since we moved in. Only con is that it's a little heavy, but not enough to really be a nuisance.

I love this Vacuum, cleans as good as my Kirby did but with a lot less weight. I have owned a lot of Vacuums, Riccar, Kirby, Sentry, Timco, and I have to say you get what you pay for. I have wooden stairs and two cats so cat litter is a pain. A corded vacuum was a pain, so I bought the Timco based on reviews but after 6 months the thing just would not hold a charge. So I finally broke down and bought a Dyson and this thing is not cheap but I can vacuum entire house ( Three Levels) on two batteries easily. The two negatives are 1) Its a beast, it does get heavy after a while, 2) There is no way to keep trigger on automatic and you will get finger fatigue, if that is such a thing, But the pros outway the cons so I still give it 5 stars. Its powerful, Point and shoot hygienic bin emptying, 2 batteries, long runtimes, plenty of debris holding, intelligent auto mode that works, lots of attachments. This is the last vacuum cleaner for me.

Comparing to an older model I also own

Its much bigger than the 8, made better for a mans hand, as the 8 hurt my left handed husband, got blisters every time he vacuums. (this is a guy that loves to clean floors lol) The 12 is much bigger and heavier. At first I disliked that, but there is a significant difference in the power. My carpets look clean, then I use that and am shocked at how much more pet hair it picks up compared to the 7. I love the second battery too. I did prefer the method of putting away the vacuum for the 8 You now have to hand plug it in. It also holds way more dirt,, and good thing because it will suck up way more dirt than the 8. It also comes with 2 batteries which is also great, although thus far, one has been good. I don't have a lot of rugs to vacuum though so I imagine a house full of carpet would really appreciate that. I haven't tried the hand held feature yet, but plan on vacuuming my car with it. Its definitely pricey, but it does appear to be twice as good as the 8, so I can't complain. I gave it 4 stars for 2 reasons, one, its heavier, and if you need light, don't get this. Put remember it is a vacuum and do we usually pick them up? I also gave it 4 stars because I prefer the hang up method of charging. (its a bit nit picky of me really) I should mention the vacuum comes not only with 2 batteries, but 2 battery chargers! Thats pretty awesome!

I love my Dyson’s! This was an upgrade from my V10 which was amazing itself. I love that they have finally listened to customers and made a removable battery and included an extra battery and charging cord with this model. Given the longer battery life and having a spare I never run out of charge before I’m finished even when I’m using the booster mode. The larger floor piece means more coverage so a quicker clean and larger bin means no more stopping to empty it. I have cats so I’d have to empty the bin a couple times with the V10 but not this one. You can’t beat the suction power of a Dyson. The only downside is the price. Even on sale it is expensive.

Wow! What great power and cleaning ability in such a small vacuum! I love that it's cordless and that I can see how much charge time I have left! It's also great that the power can be changed to meet your needs. I find it easy to use, easy to charge, and easy to dump. All of the different accessories are very easy to put on/off. My only complaint so far is that I have many parts to different cleaning, and need to figure out where to store them.

    Absolutely Amazing!!

I am not gonna lie. I was just a wee bit upset after my GF said she bought us a Dyson vacuum that cost over 800 bucks. I had previously owned 2 corded Dyson vacuum cleaners and while they were okay at cleaning, I was always annoyed by the process of taking them apart to perform various functions. This cordless vacuum is not only WAY more powerful it us also super EASY to switch parts out. I would recommend this vacuum without hesitation and say it is well worth the price. We have 2 cats and a big dog and they all shed a ton. This thing is a miracle. It picks up the hair and whatever else is on the floor with ease. I love the way it detects floor type and suction power automatically. $800 very well spent.

I ❤️ love my new Dyson! Having a cordless vacuum makes it so much quicker. You don’t have to plug in & out & trip over the cord. The suction is excellent. It doesn’t suck up the rugs, it just glides right over them. It’s so nice having 2 batteries & they last a pretty long time. It is a little heavy on the wrist but so worth it. It was very expensive, but as long as it keeps working, I’m ok with that.

This dyson is a beast. it is a big vacuum. It has better than I thought suction. The battery, if you use a mid level setting, last longer than i thought. Overall a nice unit. The only downsize is the size. It is fine for me since I am tall @ 6'6". my wife is 5'4" and took her a bit to get used to it. The power overcompensates the size. It swivels really nicely too. Good stuff and recommend

One day earlier I bought the Animal V8 lower end one and it just didn’t work for what I needed it. So I purchased this one and wowza. The suction is so strong, if I pull up while it’s in boost mode, it gives resistance on my hardwood floors. The battery life is plenty for a medium size house. It grabs fine dust best and struggles with large pieces of cereal but gets them eventually. I used it on my SUV and used every attachment and it didn’t get all the sand out bug got most out. In the vehicle, it felt large and bulky and not easy to use at all despite trying different attachment configurations. It’s not that it wasn’t powerful enough to get the sand, it’s that no attachment made the right seal on the surfaces that were being cleaned. In the house however, they all work as expected. On the down side it is certainly Heavy and after about 30 min I start feeling sore if I don’t alternate arms. It’s somewhat loud but nothing crazy compared to other vaccums. Also, if you touch the side while cleaning a rug, you might get static shock. I haven’t needed to charge the second battery but I’m glad it’s there just in case. Emptying is simple enough. The only thing I would change on this is I would make the attachments be able to be put in different directions.

My old vacuum was starting to fall apart and I’d been eyeing Dyson vacuums for a while, but had been on the fence due to the price. I got this during the Memorial Day sale, which made it more reasonable for me. I’m really glad I did. This vacuum does SUCH a good job of cleaning. I have a cat and dog that shed like crazy and this thing just annihilates fur! My old vacuum would basically push dust bunnies ahead of the motor making me chase them. The Dyson Outsize Total Clean easily sucks up everything that has been in front of it. I’m glad I got the Outsize because I can clean my entire 1720 sq ft house in one pass without emptying the bin. My favorite attachment is the corkscrew cleaner which is extremely effective at cleaning my couches and furniture of fur. The BestBuy version comes with an illuminating crevice tool which is handy for dark, tight spots. Disposal is also super easy as you just line up the bin over your trash can and dump the chute. It might sound crazy, but I actually enjoy vacuuming my house now…

Easy to operate and maneuver on carpeting. Suction is great even though it is cordless. Battery lasts long enough to get a our floors vacuumed, like that it comes with two batteries so one is always charged. Did have a problem finding a docking station, wish one came with it so we wouldn't have to prop it up against something to keep from falling. Biggest drawback is that it doesn't stand on its own. Very expensive

    This Vacuum Saved My Marriage

OK - perhaps an overstatement - my marriage didn't need "saving" per se ... but MAN oh MAN did I get POINTS (hear me out on this)!! This is my wife's FOURTH Dyson - she has given one to each of our mothers, and the third one just gave up the ghost. To be honest - these things are SO well made - I could have fixed it. However, I know my wife has been eyeballing one of these for AGES so I said: "let's not worry about fixing the old one - let's just get that new one you've been looking for. Now - keep in mind - my wife REALLY does love to vacuum...daily! (yeah - I know... I don't get it either!! Something about "look at all the dirt that used to be on the floor!!"). So when she got this - the comparisons were immediate: this new one was lighter, the battery lasted longer, the suction was better - and apparently we were previously living in squalor, because the dirt this thing pulled out of the rugs was amazing (she had vacuumed with the old vacuum the day before... and the day before that - you get where I'm going with this!). Bottom line - while the price of these things is a bit eye-watering, the results are worth it! You really do get what you pay for - and this is some great technology! Final closing note: the reason our last one gave up the ghost was that our puppy had chewed through the (unplugged) cord of the unit. I managed to put a fix on it - but the fix finally needed replacing. It will now be fixed again and will get passed on to another loving home - it still works like a champion. GET THIS VACUUM!!!! It will change your life!!
