Very Good - It could have a little more power... but it is nice ! Compact -

Outsize is fine… but rather get the regular v11 animal. It’s too big for me.0

This is my first Dyson. I've never really fell for the hype because my older corded vacs did fine with clean up. Then I go the itch to go cordless. Where they all lacked in power and capacity, they made up for in freedom of movement. Each generation got better than the last which brings me to the Dyson Outsize Total Clean Cordless Vacuum. The first thing that caught my eye was the huuuuge canister. This vacuum has as much capacity as my corded unit, which means I won't have to empty 2-3 times during cleaning. The battery isn't a little one either. To have the power and capacity to run the Dyson through a task you need a decent sized battery. Limits of current tech just can't get around that. With the big canister and battery the Outsize isn't that heavy and with the swivel, maneuvers easily. I have to get used to the trigger as all my other vacuums had buttons. Vacuuming the day after deadlift day put a little workout on my forearms. A neat feature of the Outsize is that it adjusts the speed of the beater and the power of the suction as needed based on resistance. With a mix of carpet and tiled flooring I vacuumed for 30 min and still had 20 min of battery left according to the screen. I'm very impressed by the stamina of the machine. The performance was far better than I expected since I didn't expect a whole lot from a battery powered vacuum. While it's not as powerful as a full corded unit, the Outsize in a class of its own with the cleaning power. I seriously don't think I'll have to pull out my corded vacuum (which I did once a month for deep cleaning) since the Outsize cleans so well. There are various attachments, but the one that stands out is the corner attachment. It has a built in light! Why hasn't anyone else thought of that? It's pure genius...but be prepared to see some dead bugs that you never had to see before! I have a contact dust mite allergy so I'm picky about how a canister ejects the dust. The Outsize does a great job. You just give the leaver a push and the canister drops a bit and opens the door to eject the dust. It can't be simpler. Plus with the extra filtration the Outsize has it don't have to worry that the air returned will cause me any problems. I thought my last cordless vacuum was "The One" but Dyson came through and changed the game for me.

I have a couple other Dyson vacuums, a corded upright and a small cordless model for spot dusting, etc. I added the outsize for easier access to tight corners under furniture, etc. It has been a major disappointment. The cleaner head is too high to fit under most of my furniture. I expected to be able to use the outsize rather than the corded model which I use with a wide hose attachment for hard floors. That attachment will not fit the Outsize, or I would use it. The bush bar is too aggressive, pounding even a hard floor. Whereas the soft bristles may be gentle enough, the hard bristle strips cannot be used on kilims and Navajos, as I had intended. The pounding is so bad that I’m reluctant to use it on a cherry floor, limiting it to only oak and ceramic. Dyson "Support" is useless, if it even exists. There is no way to transmit a clear, detailed statement, only brief "chats". The person with Dyson then has insufficient info to understand the problem and resorts to statements excerpted from the promotional material already available on the website. The system won't even accept my registered serial # when I've tried to enter it before a "chat". This is useful mostly for dust bunnies in corners and ceiling cobwebs. $700 is too much for so little utility.

Bought this for the wife and I for Christmas. Put it together and wanted to use it to clean up all the Christmas tree trash. Put it together charged both batteries and it ran for about 5 seconds. Every time I pulled the trigger it would not go on after that. I thought maybe it was the battery, so I switched it out and still the same situation. Went to best buy to exchange it cause maybe we got a bad one, but went to 3 different best buys and even though their website and in store says they have so many left, there was none to be found. So I just got my money back. Very disappointed in the whole situation.

Vacuuming is a major ordeal for me. I'm in a wheelchair and on oxygen. So I have a long 50 ft. cord that follows me throughout the house that often gets caught up in my tires. Now add that to trying to vacuum and have the cords get tangled up creating a spider web effect it's horrendous! This vacuum eliminates all of that. There's no dragging the container around or trying to keep the cords off of the floor and out from under my wheels. This vacuum is lightweight and super easy to maneuver. The suction is superior! The new pet tool is a dream! I have a Husky that sheds white hair like it's going out of style. His hair gets on everything! I usually have to keep a few of those roller wands to get the hair off of me constantly but since using this his hair has been cut down drastically. The cleaner head coverage covers a wide area so saves a lot of back and forth. With the batteries provided I'm able to clean the entire house with ease. I've not even killed one completely, let alone the other! Another thing I really liked is the fact it breaks down to a portable so I can get the same great cleaning out in my car too! Usually the little handhelds you're stuck with don't have anywhere near the power nor the coverage or tools that this Dyson does. I can get all of the little cracks and crevices as well as the vents and carpet. Better than any detailer I've ever used so saves me even more doing it myself This is the first Dyson I've ever had I always wondered why Dyson costs so much but after using this I see now you definitely get what you pay for. Would definitely recommend this to others!

The vacuum is convenient and easy to use, but has very little power requiring you to go over carpet a couple of times. Definitely not worth the ridiculously expensive cost, you’re better off with a $150 plug in than this vacuum. Maybe if you have no kids, or pets and mostly tile/hardwood then maybe it’ll work for you.

I have a golden retriever and felt this didn’t suck up her hair or spilt dog food very well. Also, super heavy when using the hand held top part to vacuum the furniture. Wanted to love it but end up returning it

I like the new additions to the stain but I thought the bigger can would be better I’m just not a big fan of it

No real review. Item was returned the next day because it was so heavy when opening box and I knew I could not manage it to hold the trigger down full time while using it with it being so heavy. I was very disappointed.

I am still getting use to vacuum but I want to say my other Dyson had less suction.

The large Vacuum head has stopped working a second time. Bummer

Not what I was expecting! Boy they were not kidding when they said that it was a heavy piece. I own the original cordless and it is so manageable. Aside from the weightyness I really did not feel it was sucking all that great. Needless to say, it went back!

This is what you want from a vacuum! The Dyson Outsize Total Clean Cordless Vacuum is the tier that all others strive to be. Dyson truly has created a combo that does the job tasked and more! First off all the extras that come in this combo is sheer awesomeness. Secondly the suction and cleaning power in all services are top notch! The canister is very accommodating for long vacuum sessions.very simple to clean out so that’s a large positive! Barrett life is really well! I was able to vacuum entire house on them and still had enough left over to get under furniture thanks to the special low angle design! Have dark spaces hard to reach? They include a lighted pip crevice tool making it easy to get those dust bunnies! This vacuum is well worth the price and lives up to the standards of Dyson quality! You won’t be disappointed on any flooring surface!

Good concept of a product but batteries too short. Still better to use a traditional upright my animal ball picks up way more than this handheld. Unless battery lasts minimum 30 minutes on turbo mode it’s not worth the investment.

First off, I would like to point out how stylish and futuristic this vacuum cleaner looks. Built is of supreme quality and looks very elegant for a vacuum cleaner. Dyson easily beats all other brands for this premium looks. The box I received came with multiple parts - more of cleaning heads. It was quite easy to understand what each part is for without even looking into the user guide. User guide however was very clear and crisp. Had to charge the batteries before usage. It took about 3 hours in total for the batteries to charge until 100%. The vacuum cleaner has a beautiful lcd screen that lets you setup the language and few other defaults and it was quite simple to follow the instructions and didn’t need a lot of understanding. The vacuum is meant to adjust its settings based on the floor type. I have a laminate floor and carpet and when I started using it, I could sense the vacuum cleaning taking some time initially to adjust, but after about one hour of use, the lcd screen was able to calibrate and adjust the settings accordingly. It also understands how much power is needed to clean the floor, but the battery charge might decrease depending on the power. The dust collector bin is pretty huge when compare to other competitors in the market and the vacuum over all is not on the heavier side considering the size of the bin. 2x battery packs gives us great benefit while vacuuming bigger homes. I used the vacuum for about 2 hours and was able to complete a 2000 sqft home. The best part of the vacuum that I personally liked was the same cleaner head can be used for various floor types and there is no need to change the head. The LCD screen is very intuitive and useful and is able to tell us about the performance and charge left on the cleaner so that we are aware of when it needs to be charged. I have a pet at my home and I personally felt that this Dyson did a great job removing pet hair. Not completely though, but definitely a great job. The additional fittings provided in the box is really useful if we need to clean difficult places to reach and also for car seats. Dirt disposal is quite simple and easy. For the price point, I feel that Dyson has provided a great product. Definitely on the premium side, I would definitely recommend this to anyone that can afford this price and they won’t be disappointed.

This is the best Vacuum I ever used. It is very powerful and has a lot of suction, but the battery life is still very good. Being cord free and lightweight makes cleaning a breeze and saves me a lot of time. The only con is the price.

Did not like this oversized Dyson. Was heavy and bulky, but the suction didn't match the size. Better off with a smaller version.
