I get to throw away two other corded vacuums that I have. This model is perfect. The major item for me was dog hair. I have a long haired shedder, on all my other vacuums the hair gets caught in the brush head. After every usage I had to clean out the brush. This Dyson does not have that problem. I think it's due to its brushes being shorter, can't clog as easy. Another reason may be the suction strength. When the vacuume reaches carpet or a rug, the power increases and sucks the brush head down alowing the brush to really dig in.

I love it easy to use and picks everything off the floor I’ve never had a stain before and I’ll never change to another vacuum again

We purchased this vacuum because of its size and weight. It is very possible and easy to use. The only thing I don't care for is that I have to hold the power trigger to keep it on. I wish there was a switch that would keep the power on while I used it,

I’ve owned Dyson vacuums for the past decade and while I admit, initially I thought it was a gimmick, they really are the best vacuum out there. From the plug in uprights to the cordless stick ones (NOW WITH REMOVABLE BATTERY PACK!), this things have great suction and power. This D11 is a big upgrade over my D7 and the removable battery and automatic suction sensor are great. Depending on the floor surface (hard or carper or rug) it will change the power setting to fit.

I’m writing this after over a year and a half of owning this machine. Pros: - it has great suction - good maneuverability - gets into small places Cons: - cheap, flimsy material - no way to stand on its own making it easy to fall- breaking the cheap material - clogs easily - short battery life - stand is designed to make all the weight pull away from the battery creating a major weak spot This isn’t the Dyson animal I once knew. I waited years to buy this vacuum and it’s now going in the closet.

Great light eight vacuum that is easy to use especially you are a senior. No need to look for a wall plug with a long extension cord.
