Cordless cleaning made easier. The Dyson V11 Animal cordless vacuum intelligently optimizes suction and run time to deep clean everywhere.
Q: What is the difference between the V11 Torque Drive and the V11 Animal vacuums?
A: Hello there, this is Kelly with Dyson. The Dyson V11™ Torque Drive and Animal models are very similar. Both will feature twice the suction of any cord-free vacuum, whole-machine filtration, our powerful V11 motor, a pressure sensor that signals that maintenance is needed when it detects a drop in airflow, and a high torque cleaner head that uses stiff nylon bristles to drive deep into carpet, and soft, anti-static carbon fiber filaments that capture dust from hard floors. On the Dyson V11™ Torque Drive, you will have an LCD screen that reports remaining battery life and maintenance alerts right on the screen. On the Dyson V11™ Animal you's have an LED screen that shows remaining run time. Best wishes, Kelly Dyson Customer Support
Q: Which Dyson is good for shag carpets
A: Hi there, this is Kelly with Dyson. The V11 Animal you inquired about is great for thicker or shag-type carpeting. In addition to the three suction modes this machine offers, the torque drive cleaner head includes a suction control lever in the cleaner head (torque drive only). On top of the ability to control suction in the cleaner head, you also have the options to switch between suction modes with any of the cordless machines, giving you more suction control. A: Unfortunately you do have to hold down the button while using the vacuum it can definitely get a bit uncomfortable if your vacuuming a large space/whole house.
A: Yes there is an adjustment on the floor attachment that can raise and lower it, we have 3 large breed dogs and a mix of hard and carpeted floors. This vacuum blew me away, I left a review recently on Best Buy’s app that is more detailed than I will be here. I attached a photo for you to see for yourself, the food is Iams large breed. I also put a Bic lighter in the photo as a reference.
Q: Our Dyson Animal tears out strands of carpet because its so powerful. Does this do the same?
A: Hi Scott, this is Kelly with Dyson. It's unusual to hear that your Dyson Animal would tear out carpeting fibers in your use. If this is an Animal upright, have you tried disabling the brush bar? The V11 Animal cord-free machine provides three levels of suction power. In addition, the torque drive cleaner head also has a suction control slider, while allows you to adjust suction right at the head. Best wishes, Kelly Dyson Customer Support
A: Hello there, this is Kelly with Dyson. The V11 Outsize is the newest cord-free we offer. It is very similar to the previous V11 models (Animal and Torque Drive variants), but has a larger cleaner head and full size dust bin. Run time will be the same, but suction is also more powerful on the Outsize. The Outsize also has our click-in battery, which means you have a back-up and have a total of up to 120 minutes of total run time. The difference in Animal V11 variants, other than machine color, would just be tools that are included with the machine. Best wishes, Kelly Dyson Customer Support
A: Hi there, this is Kelly with Dyson. Both the V11 Animal and V11 Torque Drive model have the high-torque powered cleaner head. This spinning brush bar is great at picking up pet hair. You will want to ensure that regular maintenance is provided, including the removal of pet hair, to ensure the best performance from your machine. Best wishes, Kelly Dyson Customer Support
