Have had other dyson products before with the same issue. Great for carpet, but not for hardwood floors.

The high torque cleaner head is designed to work across all floor types eliminating the need for two cleaner heads. It features stiff nylon bristles to drive deep into carpet and soft, anti-static carbon fiber filaments to capture dust from bare floors. The high torque cleaner will automatically sense and adapt to changes in the floor type so that the right amount of suction is provided. I have owned the vacuum for a month and have not had any problems with it clogging the vacuum, or the vacuum head ( which with my old vacuum the head was constantly buried in a weaving of fur). The vacuum head seems "fur resistant"! Very pleased, use it daily. Battery life great.
