I got this vacuum because I’d had my old Dyson for about ten years, and thought it was time to replace. It was still running, but I confess I wanted a new, more powerful machine, which this is. It really sucks the dirt out of our Persian rugs, and adjusts well to wood and tile. I haven’t had to move it off of Auto yet; it does such a good job. Yes, emptying it is different. You must detach the tube to open the bin, but it’s very easy to do. I have a commercial machine to bring out for really heavy jobs: cleaning all of the books, for example. But this stick is fabulous for everyday vacuuming in a 2000 foot home.

I was skeptical about so much on a vacuum but one use and i was not worried about that at all! I love the suction power of the Dyson, the ease of emptying the canister, and it is super light weight!

Works great, its a game changer for those that have used a traditional Vacuum for years. Biggest drawback is the battery life, we can clean up maybe 3/4 of out 1st floor before needing to recharge. Works great on carpets and wood floors. I'm guessing newer modes offer better battery/charge life

I love it. I never thought I’d have a need for a stick vac but the convenience is awesome. No cord to deal with, light weight, great power, and tons of attachments. It’s not cheap, but in this case you get what you pay for.

Whether it’s for little kids messes or dog hair, this vacuum is amazing. I’ve got two kids under 10 and a golden retriever so the messes can pile up. I found myself sweeping daily or lugging out the regular vacuum to clean up, both were a pain. I was hesitant to buy this because of the cost, but a friend swore buy it and they weren’t wrong. Since buying it I now use this as my ONLY vacuum and even use it to vacuum the cars which it works great on as well. Super easy to grab and spot clean or do the whole house. If I had to make one complaint, it could be heavy for some after extended use but I think all handhelds are that way.

I love the power of Pick up with this vacuum. However, the compartment that holds the dirt is way too small. You have to stop every few minutes to empty it. This is called a Dyson Animal, but pet hair clogs it. I love the Fact that it is cord free and can be used on all surfaces without having to stop and change the setting (auto feature). Head turns to easily glide under furniture.

It's easy to use, easy to clean and easy to change out the many attachments. Lightweight, maneuvers well and with the various attachments can vacuum all of the hard to get to places in our home. Highly recommend!

Love this vacuum. Light weight and so versatile. Works far better than my old vacuums which were also dyson. Have to empty regularly when doing the whole house but worth it!

I love this vacuum! It is light, easy to maneuver under furniture and in corners. The new designed dust canister is very easy to empty as you aren't trying to balance anything like with the older models. The auto-suction feature is wonderful, as well have both hardwood and carpets, but also throw rugs and it automatically adjusts suction to each type. I think our favorite feature though, is the battery life. We have an older model Dyson stick and it only lasts 20 minutes on high, plus the battery drains if left off the charger. This one lasts at least 40 minutes and hasn't lost battery charge when left pff the charger in-between uses. Well worth the money!

I bought this to vacuum my stairs with. Its very lightweight and makes it very easy to clean and carry up and down the stairs. Great suction and easy to empty. No bags to replace.

Wish I had purchased this earlier. Best vacuum I have ever owned! It's lightweight and powerful. Works great on carpet as well as wood. Highly recommend!

I have a closet full of Dyson products and love most of them. This one may be my favorite. It is a little heavy and slightly hard to push but worth the extra effort. When I first got it I cleaned my bedroom rug with its predecessor, also a Dyson, to see what else I might get from the rug with this vacuum. What I didn’t get was any hair or other surface debris. What I did get was all sorts of ground-in dirt, the kind that is so hard for most vacuums to pull up from a deep-pile, tightly woven rug. Also, the battery life far exceeds any previous cordless vacuum cleaner I have owned.

Excellent vacuum, light weight and great suction. Long battery life in eco mode, and very powerful in turbo mode. Easy to empty the canister.

Best vacuum ever! It is versatile, lightweight, and has lots of power! We have wood floors and pets and we use it daily! We live it and would highly recommend it.

Just when I think Dyson can’t get any better, they surprise me with this lightweight powerful sucking machine. Love the portability, ease of use, and cleaning power. So happy with this purchase.

One of the best vacuums I ever had. Not too loud, not too heavy, just good enough for me. The vacuum power is amazing, literally sucks everything.

We had the V8 Absolute and it was a great vacuum, had it for over two years and we wanted something newer and in all honesty, the price of the V11 made me look at the other companies' products, but we said, what the heck, Dyson has great products and great customer service so we went with this one. This thing is powerful! and when doing a transition from hard floor to carpet or vice versa it does change suction. And the battery lasts a long time compared to the V8, unless you go crazy and use it on the highest setting all the time, then the battery charge won't last as long, but that is to be expected. I say we're very happy with it.

This was a replacement for my V10 Animal. It has some more advanced features, like auto adjust, that’s a plus from the old one. I can effectively vacuum my whole under 600 square foot apartment on one charge with power to spare to vacuum other things with the tools. The pet hair attachment does an amazing job on my sofa. It has great suction which is hard to find in a rechargeable vacuum. It’s light weight and doesn’t take up much space. Perfect for the downsized retirement life.

I bought this for my wife and she loves it. Great vacuum! Really light weight and versatile. Picks up on hard and carpeted surfaces with ease. Only drawback I would say is the trigger doesn’t have a locking position to on so you have to hold down the whole time in use. But not a huge deal.
