It is my 4th one and all of them get broken within first year

We were excited to receive the V11, having it shipped to our home. Upon arrival, we set it up and charged it for 3.5 hours as instructed. At that point the vacuum worked fine. After the initial use, the battery no longer would charge no matter how we plugged the charging cord into it. I don't know if the cord went bad or the battery. Frankly I don't care. I shouldn't have this issue with a $700 vacuum on day 1.

Purchased it for my home, worked well for a few months and then the cleaner head stopped working. I have been trying to get my warranty for several months now with Dyson but they keep sending me the wrong parts and you cannot speak to a human. I have emailed over 30 times with zero success. Dyson keeps asking for the same information over and over again. If this machine breaks, you have NO warranty unless best buy handles it. Unfortunately, I had it too long for BestBuy to handle it. DO NOT purchase anything Dyson

Purchased to replace my Oreck that was getting old. Thought would be great being a Dyson. After use for about 20 minutes battery died. I used the Dyson then did the t-shirt check and went behind the Dyson and the Oreck still picked up what the Dyson left. Wished I could get my $599.00 back!!!!

I ultimately returned this for an Lg stick vac. It consistently got clogged and was really loud. I have a dog who doesnt shed much, l have long hair, its really dusty here, and we have have carpet. It struggled to keep up with our bi weekly cleaning.

I love this new vacuum from Dyson. It has so much power and really does clean so well. My carpets and tile floors look great. The tools it comes with are perfect for all the cob webs and small things in the corners. It also cleans my couches very well. The only issue I have is that the canister does not have a lot of room and has to be emptied a few times when cleaning the house. Overall, it is an excellent vacuum and I am very happy to own it. Thanks Dyson.

Dyson is one of my favorite companies. You can tell they take pride in their products. I have a total of 3 and all of them perform very well. Though they are costly, the benefit outweighs the high prices. The Dyson V11 Animal is a very nice vacuum. I love the design. I love how light it is. Not heavy at all. The size is perfect. Not too big. One of the best things for me is portability. No cords for an upright vacuum. The freedom to go anywhere in the house without having to unplug and plug is a great feature. All of the attachments are perfect for cleaning my sofa, blinds, and places I wouldn't normally be able to clean with an upright vacuum. Now to the the suction power. I have to admit, I thought it would be a bit more powerful. Maybe my expectations were too high but the suction power seems to be average. Of course it picks up dog hair and cleans the sofa as well as dust on blinds, but solid debris seems to be a bit tougher for this vacuum. There are 3 power settings: Boost, Auto, and Eco. Boost uses the most power. I would say you may be able to get a good vacuum in a couple of rooms before having to plug in to charge. This may be a problem for some but I'm ok with it. The Eco setting preserves battery life while vacuuming but isn't as strong. I still would recommend this for the portability, design, and longevity (Dyson products rarely break). I forgot to mention I used it to vacuum the seats in my truck and it works perfectly. No more having to do this at the car wash.

I bought this to replace my wife’s V6 she’d had for over three years. I figured being the newest model out at the time, it’s got to be amazing. Spoiler alert…it’s not. This thing doesn’t pick up near as much stuff as her old one did and the design change on dumping the canister is ridiculous. It plugs up frequently and even after you clean it out, it still doesnt actually suck much up. The only reason for the upgrade was her old one quit taking a charge. So we took this one back after a couple weeks and traded it for the V8 Animal and she loves it and couldn’t be happier.

It quick working after one month. I called Best Buy they basically told me too bad call Dyson. I have reached out to Dyson via phone, email and social media they have not responded. My next call is my bank to charge back Best Buy

I HATE this product!!! It barely works on my hardwoods/tiles floors and it too hard to push on the carpet. Lets not even talk about how @#$@#$#@ hard it is to separate so you can empty it!!!

No bueno not what I expected to much money for a vacuum that my old vacuum did.

hype and not good at doing regular cleaning. If you use booster mode ,it will run out of juice in few minutes ! oh extra battery cost will cost you 200$ store to door! convenience and can be use for very small pickup. Can mot replace wired vaccume!

Bought new 3 weeks later main floor attachment broke now waiting 2 weeks for replacement part

I absolutely love this vacuum cleaner. It has 3 settings for suction power, and is very efficient on the medium setting. I only use the strongest setting when cleaning my textured door mat. The battery lasts a long time (I'd say at least 45 minutes worth of cleaning when on the medium level) Its pretty light weight. It can, however, become heavy after using it for a while. Pros: long battery life light weight 3 different suction powers multi functional no bags easy to charge Cons: can become heavy if you are doing a lot of vacuuming does not pick up large pieces well can be a bit difficult to attach/detach the main unit from the stick if you're short and cant get it lined up completely straight I would definitely recommend. It has made cleaning so much easier and more convenient. I have a toddler and no dog. I need a good vacuum!

I"m really pleased with the new Dyson V11 Animal vacuum. Most importantly the vacuum does a great job removing dirt and animal hair on both carpet and hard floors. The mini motorized tool also does great on furniture and stairs. It quickly converts from a full length vacuum to a hand held vacuum. Using the "Auto" feature, the suction power automatically adjusts between carpet and hard floor. I have a 2400 square foot home that is mostly carpet. I had to empty the dust cup 3 times while sweeping the whole house. I wouldn't really want the dust cup to be any larger in order to keep the weight down. Speaking of weight, it seems slightly heavier than the previous V9 we have. It's still quite comfortable to use though. This one came with a crevice tool, two small brush attachments, the mini motorized tool and of course the motorhead and docking station. I like how Dyson included a small clip on the long shaft so you can store the crevice tool and another small attachment right on the stick so you can quickly switch them out. I was a little disappointed in the battery life. Dyson's claim of up to 60min run time must be for hard floors using the eco mode. I used the medium suction setting and the auto adjusting feature and the battery lasted 35 minutes on somewhat thick carpet, so it was a pretty demanding test. Not bad, but I was hoping for longer battery life.

Let me start this off by saying this is not a cheap vacuum and that you certainly get what you pay for here. I have had the cheapest little vacuum for so long and it did the job for the most part, however I have a very large shedding Labrador and that thing just wouldn’t cut it anymore. I was looking for a good vacuum and have always heard that Dysons’ are the best of the best. I decided to pick this up today at Best Buy and my god is it incredible. Easy set up, great battery life, insane suction, and the amount of ways to use it and attachments are amazing. My favorite is using it hand held with the smaller roller attachment on my couch. Sucks that hair right up! If you are looking for a great cordless vacuum look no further this thing is amazing.

The most important point I want to make about this vacuum is it’s vacuuming strength and battery longevity. This unit is strong enough to replace a high-quality traditional vacuum because the battery on this unit does last close to an hour. The battery provided me plenty of time to vacuum all the rugs, carpets, and hardwood floors on my 1100 sq. feet home. And the amount of dirt and debris this V11 unit picked-up was incredible. I had just vacuumed everything a day before with my regular vacuum, and I was quite surprised how much dirt was left behind and picked-up by the Dyson vacuum. Along with its exceptional suction power and durability, the unit is relatively quieter than a traditional vacuum. Don’t get me wrong, the motor still makes a strong vacuuming sound, but I was able to vacuum at night while my 7-year-old slept. I wouldn’t have dared tried that with our regular vacuum. The main reason for my 4-star rating is its awkward weight distribution. The weight on this unit is concentrated at the top near the handle. Even though the vacuum only weighs 6.7 pounds (about 10 pounds lighter than a traditional vacuum), it feels awkward supporting the weight up high rather than its usual place down low on the ground. I adjusted to this change quicker than my wife did. After vacuuming for a while, she noticed her arm getting tired sooner. However, as with most things, I’m sure we’ll adjust, and this may no longer be an issue after a while. Another awkward design choice is the “trigger” button. Your finger needs to hold in the trigger in order to run the vacuum. After vacuuming for a while, I would have preferred an option to lock the trigger in place to keep the vacuum running. However, with a locking option, I’m aware that I may drain the battery much quicker than expected. Besides these two issues, the vacuum is quite impressive. The unit comes with a main vacuuming powerhead, as well as a smaller powerhead attachment for cleaning smaller areas like couches, stairs, etc. I loved how well the smaller powerhead picked up a lot of my cat’s hair from the couch and its arm rest. A few other things worth mentioning, the main powerhead has an adjustment that allows you to control the suction by opening these little red “gates” located at the bottom front. Out of the box, the red gates are completely down, leading to a very strong suction. While trying to vacuum one of our decorative rugs that included a lot of patterns and bumps, it was a struggle to move the vacuum across the rug. But once we adjusted the gates/openings on the main powerhead, it was a lot easier to vacuum all our area rugs. Also, the gates need to be opened in order to pick up large debris, such as kibble. Finally, the vacuum comes with enough information to get you started. In addition to the manual, Dyson includes a QR code that you can scan with your phone to view additional setup and usage videos. It was from one of these videos that you’re informed that the vacuum’s batteries are designed to be left on the charger permanently. So, you don’t have to worry about overcharging it. Overall, I am very happy with this vacuum. It will be replacing my old traditional vacuum. The technology built into this vacuum is cutting edge and it’s definitely keeping things a lot cleaner.

Amazing vacuum. Battery life was better than any vacuum I’ve used and the suction power and versatility are top notch.

Can’t release handle to empty canister. Canister holds very little. Needs constant emptying. Wished I had ever bought it. Huge disappointing. Certainly would not recommend
