This vacuum has been super reliable. In the times where parts have broken, I've been able to get replacement parts and repair the vacuum myself super easily. Dyson customer service and warranty stuff is easy to navigate. I will absolutely keep buying Dyson vacuums in the future! I also love the versatility of the accessories as well as the quality of the mount.

Great! Amazing vacuum!....when. It. Works. Something about the Animal Dysons rarely last a year. We’ve had to replace it due to battery issues 4 times now. Not what I’d expect from Dyson.

So far my favorite. Two batteries is so convenient, good suction and a snap to switch between accessories,

Quiet and Light. Handle needs ergonomics BADLY. Floor attachment stopped working rotating within 60 days. Used maybe 6-7 times. Returned to Best Buy. Don't make a expensive mistake.

Vacuum would skip on the back stricken while vacuuming carpet. I think it got caught up in the rubber piece. Poor suction. Upgraded to the v11 absolute and love it.

Included with the Dyson are 5 tools and accessories- high torque cleaner head, mini motorized tool, stiff bristle brush, combination tool and the crevice tool. There is an operating manual, power cord and optional docking station. The 2 year warranty is outstanding. It includes parts and labor. They have support help available by phone and online. Free shipping both ways to and from the service center is also included. The Dyson is packed well in its box. The contents are protected nicely. After unpacking everything, you will need to fully charge your Dyson to 100% before it's first use. It will take about 4 hours. The vacuum will not run while it's being charged. There is a blue LED light that will flash while charging. There is a main display on the back of the head. It shows the battery level, blockage and filter indicators and what power mode you are on. It will allow you to choose which power setting with the button. The Dyson v11 has 3 power modes to customize your cleaning experience and maximizes your power. The Eco mode gives you the most run time. The Auto mode works the best to clean all types of floors. It automatically switches the power higher for carpet or lower for hardwood floors. And the Boost mode works best for deep cleaning. There is also a toggle switch on the cleaner head which sets it higher or lower to the floor. The middle setting is ideal for everyday. I also own a Dyson ball multi-floor 2 and a cordless v10 Absolute. To compare the new v11 to the v10, this one is definitely an improvement. I really like the new power modes. I love the Auto mode. I usually vacuum in that setting. My main floor has hardwood and carpet next to each other and it's impressive how it can tell I've moved from one area to the next and back again. Overall, the vacuum is light. However, the head/handle tends to get heavy over an extended period of time for me. I love the low profile on the high torque cleaner head. I'm able to easily reach under chairs, tables, and cabinets. The swivel and pivot really allow me to steer and maneuver in the direction I need. To compare the new v11 to my multi-floor ball is a bit trickier. Though they are both Dysons, a cord versus a cordless aren't quite the same and obviously the biggest difference. The cord will limit your access while your rechargeable battery will limit your run time. The canister is bigger on the multi ball (about twice as big) but the bin on the v11 is considerable in size (.2 gal) for its kind. The v11 is very light at about 6 pounds and has many cleaning tool attachments and the multi ball, which weighs about 15 pounds does not. I live in a 2 story, 4,000 sq ft home. So for me both vacuums work well for me. It just depends on my cleaning needs. The v11 is great to clean my cars, blinds, stairs, and my main floor which includes my foyer, kitchen, office, mudroom, bathroom and family room. If I need to do a full top to bottom vacuum, the power does not last long enough for me since my house is large. But it works great for smaller and shorter clean ups, which I do very often with 4 kids. It is great for any size vehicle and any size house with small to moderate size cleaning. As long as you maintain your vacuum, clean the filter and brush regularly, it will last you a long time. I love having this Dyson v11. I love the new improvements with the new sensor technology and auto power mode. It's definitely something to be excited about.

Wish I would never have purchased this device. It hurts my hands to use it. Was definitely not made with a woman in mind

The Dyson V11 animal was great vacuum. We have two cats and a toddler, and it really kept up with all the dander from the cats and crumbs that the little one would leave around.

Awesome vaccum. Lasted a very long time before cleaning was needed and battery life is long

New Dyson convert!! I thought i had a clean home until I bought this...my first Dyson. Every time I vacuum a new area in my home I am both amazed and disgusted. I filled the canister the first time I used it on my carpeted staircase. (I regularly vacuum the stairs at least 2x a week.) Pet livers, we have a dog and a cat it gets all the hair up. I was always skeptical about whether Dyson is as good as some say. I often find that the difference between a moderately priced consumer item and the high moderate/high end equivalent is not enough to warrant a 25-40% increase in price. In my expetience, that price bump will often buy bells and whistles or convenience rather that a significant improvement in the core functionality. That is definitely not the case here. This vaccuum is worth every penny. I would buy another Dyson even if the others were giving away free ones. It is truly that much better. One significant complaint...why on earth would this model not have a trigger lock?? (Not sure if the others do?) I have actually gotten sores on both thumbs from maneuvering the unit while bracing the trigger. I"ve got my husband to work on firguring something out to lock the trigger while I use it. I feel like a princess for having gotten vaccumming war wounds but it's true. My injuries aside, If you're on the fence, don't be. Buy this Dyson. If you can't afford it, skip the new vacuum for now and save up. You won't regret it.

This vacuum is incredible!!!! I’ve had the most expensive shark and the most expensive Roomba and they do not touch the Dyson V11. It is worth every penny! We purchased a new build and thinking the carpet being brand new wouldn’t pull much dirt, I could not believe what all came up. Both gross and impressive. I’ll never go back from owning a Dyson. Wish I would have bought this sooner!

areas like under a bed ; also good to use for cleaning stairs. I use this vacuum mainly for hardwood floors and it works great. There are a couple carpeted areas , stairs and rugs, that clean up well . The only thing I wish this device had was a trigger lock to use for leaving the power on ; although this is more a personal preference and not indicative of its quality. I replaced my large vacuum with this stick and have been very satisfied ; especially not having to worry about power cords/weight/etc associated with using larger vacuums. This device is absolutely perfect for tight areas

Great vacuum. Not too heavy and battery lasts a long time. Needing to replace after 3 1/2 years as it has an odor I cannot get out

The Dyson V11 is great, but some of its design elements take some getting used to. The first is the trigger system. It works to conserve battery power by only turning on when the trigger is pulled, but during extended vacuum sessions, I noticed my hand getting tired from having to constantly squeeze the trigger. It would be nice if there was a to lock it in the on position to relieve some stress on the hands. The other is the fact that all of the weight is in the handle, making it hard to handle with one hand and often requires two hands, even in dust buster mode. Other than that its a great vacuum that works great and cleans really well.

I never thought a vacuum (or anything else) would get me excited about house chores, but this thing is fantastic. Easy to use, no cords, powerful and you will SEE (thanks to the clear dirt canister) how well it works.

Having never been a Dyson owner before, I struggled to know which one would be good for our home. I didn’t want to spend a ton, but wanted to get something that hopefully would work well. We have a hypoallergenic dog so the animal type vacuums didn’t pertain to us. So I started with the v7 and went all the way to the v11 for comparison. Again, not wanting to spend over $500, the v11 was out. It seemed like the right answer was v10 because of the suction. The majority of our flooring is hardwood. I wanted the suction for in between the boards. Therefore, I bought the v10 and couldn’t be happier. I am an over the top clean freak and this vacuum puts a smile on my cave every time I pull it out. Our floors do not have one speck of dirt on them. I agave also used the stick on the carpets and it still has great suction. Overall, best vacuum I have purchased for my money. I will recommend over and over again. Thank you Dyson!
