The cordless are designed with 2 power modes, standard, and MAX. You will get 20 minutes of constant suction while in standard mode and 6 in MAX.
As for the pulsating ON/OFF you are experiencing, this is a defense feature built into the machine to alert the user that an obstruction is present.

The V6 is designed to work for 20 minutes with a full charge while in standard mode and 6 minutes with a full charge in MAX mode for tougher jobs. When initially used, the machine will be in MAAX mode. This is indicated by the illuminated MAX light when in use.

Greatest Vacuum There Is.

It's so light and easy to clean the entire house with and the interchangeable heads are absolutely amazing. This is a powerful little vacuum, and the only downside is that the battery life isn't that long because it's so powerful, but it's still well worth it's price and I will never buy another vacuum.

I think it was 50% off when I bought it and that's still way overpriced in my opinion. I don't know why anybody would ever pay over $500 for this product with its poor instructions and poor charge time.

Great Secondary Vacuum

It's very light compared to a regular upright vacuum, and easy to maneuver. I own a larger house than most people; it got the house done in 3 charges. One thing I do not like is the small bin for the debris that you collect. I had to make multiple trips to the trash during my cleaning. The final thing I want to inform is about the charge. The charge while using the motorized brushes, cleaner heads, is that it only lasts for about 7-10 minutes. With a non-motorized tool, it'll last 18-20 minutes. I would recommend this vacuum, but only as a secondary or for a smaller home.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Cleaned my 2000 sq ft home with multiple carpets, hardwood and tile and even used the boost in 1 room and it was still running when i was done so my battery concerns are gone. Reaches under beds, dressers ect. This is a steal for $349. I wasn't buying into the whole Dyson thing before but i certainly am now. Soft roll brush is outstanding. I'm not sure if you have tile or wood floors i would buy the other models without it.
