We just bought a second one to use as a hand held one only since they stopped making them because these now pull apart in to two pieces for this very reason. We use the one as a regular vacuum and store it in the garage. We keep this second one inside the house using the top piece only as a hand held quick to grab as needed.

I believe Dyson is over charging its customers for an inferior product. This one is difficult to maneuver over the carpet unlike the Shark Vacuum. All in all its a 3.5/5

Turns out Dysons arent that great

First of all, they dont include all the attachments or the wall mount charger. Second, the vacuum holds a charge for 30 min of use MAX in a charge. Third, it takes forever to charge, and lastly, the container is pitiably small (which doesnt matter that much since the vacuum only vacuums for 20ish mins at a time).

Feel free to reach out to us for help with obtaining a wall dock, to conveniently hang the machine while charging.

Charging every time

Posted .Hi there, this is Kelly with Dyson. We're sorry to hear that you've found the run time in your V7 to be too short. Your Dyson V7™ cordless offers two powerful suction modes - regular and MAX. MAX provides a boost of suction for larger debris or more stubborn messes. This mode should not be utilized for your everyday cleaning, as it will only give you about 7 minutes of run time. Regular suction is generally suitable for every household, and gives up to 30 minutes of run time (20 when using a motorized tool).
