A: The batter has lost polarity It is possible to re flash te batter but best left to a professional. Also batteries are available from aftermarket companies. They are known to be much less expensive and good quality
Q: Does this fusing v7 work well on carpet?
A: It works very well on large room carpets and less well on light carpets because they will lift and clog the vac. Smaller carpets should either be taken outside and shaken or you can use the smaller attachments to vacuum them as they hang.
Q: Does the v7 have the same amount of power as the v8 version?

A: Hi, I have the v7 dyson and honestly i don’t recommend this vacuum for you. Although the max setting is strong enough to pick up dog hair and sand. The vacuum only last 6 minutes on Max, 30 minutes in regular. I feel that is not enough time to clean for you especially when charging takes 5 hours.
A: Yes you do have to hold it, but it's an easy trigger.

A: Yes, but it doesn’t hold a charge long. It was fully charged the other day when I used it and about 20 minutes later it went dead.
Q: Will this vacumn SCRATH THE VARNISH On HARDWOOD FLOORS?
A: Hello there, this is Kelly with Dyson. V7 Advanced Origin will have a floor tool that has a spinning brush bar. If your flooring can accept a brush bar with no issues, you should be fine. You may wish to check with your flooring manufacturer, if there are any concerns over brush bar usage. The brush bar on our cord-free machines cannot be disabled. Q: Will this vacuum work on thick shag carpet???
A: It is more labor intensive on shag but works fine. Stairs with thick carpet would not be an issue at all. For floors, we put ours on low suction setting and mostly pull the unit.
