It has a special battery that isn’t compatible with other Dyson models.

I bought the aftermarket charging mount online and now its even better!!

The standard suction setting is a joke, its comparable to the pressure delivered by an overhead airplane vent. As a result, the max setting only gives you maybe 20 min of suction.

Your V7™ cordless offers two powerful suction modes - regular and MAX. MAX provides a boost of suction for larger debris or more stubborn messes. This mode should not be utilized for your everyday cleaning, as it will only give you about 7 minutes of run time. Regular suction is generally suitable for every household, and gives up to 30 minutes of run time (20 when using a motorized tool). We got it while it was on sale taking a chance, but it really is incredible. We charge it up and then have not had an issue with it running out of charge yet.

The barrel where the dust and dirt is held is very small. After using a normal vacuum for years I felt like this one was too small. It’s inconvenient to empty it everytime.
