Two years later and the battery dies within ten seconds. Only used for easy, quick touch ups around the house with mostly hardwood floors. Service department is even more useless. Nobody answers the phone or returns voice mail messages. I have a HP-01 that is a boat anchor too. Never buying Dyson products again. Jeff

Holds charge for about twenty minutes and is dead and needs recharge. I have yet to finish a cleaning chore (used three times) since it dies always before finished. For my needs, useless and was definitely overpriced. The fluff description given lies when says holds charge 210 minutes.

Posted .Hello Lawrence, this is Kelly with Dyson. Your Dyson V7™ cordless offers two powerful suction modes - regular and MAX. MAX provides a boost of suction for larger debris or more stubborn messes. This mode should not be utilized for your everyday cleaning, as it will only give you about 7 minutes of run time. Regular suction is generally suitable for every household, and gives up to 30 minutes of run time (20 when using a motorized tool).
