I have no market comparison but I used this on a furnace that I would normally have needed and adapter for and nest doesn't provide (maybe that has changed). This came with everything I needed and the features are great. The app even reminds me to change my air filter.

I bought this to replace an Ecobee 3 that failed after about 5 years - the temperature sensor stopped working. Including the failed one, I've had 4 (one went with the condo I sold), so clearly I like and depend on them. I usually use them through Alexa, but sometimes from the Android app, web site, or even the unit itself.

This product is is not going to take long to pay itself off. Each month I receive an energy savings report for my HVAC units, and am able to over-cool after peak energy hours, and under-heat during peak hours to save money. Not to mention the convenience of adjusting the thermostats from my phone, or Alexa.

Easy to install and great functions. Better than my previous Honeywell thermostat.

We have three of these in the same house. Setting them up was a cinch and they work great. They don't have some of the fancy features some other "smart thermostats" have, but it does have everything I need. Since I spend a lot of my time in another state from where the thermostats are, it is sure nice to be able to monitor what is going on and get the house to the right temperature before I get there.

Bought this to replace our aging programmable thermostat. Instructions were clear in getting it wired up. My unit is an older one so I had to use a wiring adapter to power the Ecobee. But once I was done, everything worked. I had some problems with the way it began to run the fan, but Ecobee customer support was top notch and managed to access my thermostat to analyze the problem. Pretty cool.

I’ve had mine for a little over a month now recommended by the AC contractor replacing my AC unit. Absolutely incredible. I love how it can tell me what I saved in energy as well as how much more in percentage it was to my previous months efficiency and telling me how much I reduced my energy bill. I say no more!

Wanted something different from the same old boring thermostat. It’s gives a very modern look for inside your house.

Awesome alternative to next. Be aware, needs a "Common wire" (c-wire) to work. Hopefully you have a newer home with a furnace and you are all set. Older homes may be a little painful to get this set up. Temperature accuracy way better than Nest in my opinion.
