I am so impressed with this smart thermostat. I have a 10 year old house with a relatively modern forced air gas furnace / split AC system. The thermostat came with everything needed to install and the best install guide ever. This perfectly written and tapped install booklet made easy work of what was a simple install! Ones wired and powered on the thermostat practically walks itself through setup. I have great schedules already programmed and the app for iOS is great.

I needed 3 thermostats for my older boiler system. After trying one ecobee3 and liking it, I decided to use this in a zone where I didn't need the remote sensor. It was easy to install and it works the same as its more expensive sibling only without the sensor. The schedule is easy to setup and works well for us. It keeps comfy temp which the Nest didn't do for me. I returned it after many support calls and attempts to fix. I do wish this learned the schedule like Nest did. Overall I'm very happy with this as well as the other two ecobee3 thermostats I bought for the other 2 zones in my home. I got $100 rebates on all 3 from Vectren.

I am happy that I purchased this. I personally installed this myself in 15 mins (yayyyy me-women rock). It has a simple UI. I can control it from anywhere via the app. The weather is a "touch" away. It works better than I excepted. Love that it can also be control by my echo dot!

Bought this since it worked with Apple HomeKit and seemed a bit more advanced than the Honeywell ones. Was originally looking at Nest, but Nest didnt work with HomeKit. Love the device and how it worked for the downstairs of the house so i bought another for the upstairs. Very easy to install and use. Love how when you go to auto mode you get to choose a range.

Easy to use and install. The title says it all. Took about 15min over all and i like that it shares outside weather. The nest doesn't.

Easy to install, after install it didn't allow my aux heat lockout set. Called Ecobee tech support, got a person quickly and they stayed on the phone and walked me through changing the wires around. I have never had this great of customer service from any company, let alone for a $169 thermostat! Simple to use, very pleased with purchase. Best buy even honored my military discount I would get if I went to Home Depot.

Works as advertised - nice white cover plate provided with the unit to make sure it covers up any area that was previously behind the thermostat controller your removing. Nice Schedule features and has worked seamlessly with my smartphone to monitor and control the temperature in my vacation home - 350 miles away..

I have had this running for about one month now. The wiring was a little tricky but we got through it relatively quickly. After that installation was very easy. I have all of our schedules programmed. I have controlled it remotely from my phone. I haven't tried out all of the bells and whistles out but it seems to be relatively easy to use. I thought there was a function where you could track energy savings. I haven't played with that feature yet, if it does come with it.

I just wanted something a little bit different and I got it, the product feels like it is a great quality, the functionalities needed are there so I have no complaitns. It was easy to install.

I recently was given an ecobee 3 Lite from a friend -- I was really excited as I think the ecobee product line is very innovative. I have an older home, 4 floors, with a modern gas boiler and hot water radiant heat. My A/C system is not connected to my central thermostat (I have in wall units), so for me the ecobee is primarily for heating. The initial install was quite straightforward - there were clear instructions in the box, as well as plenty of video tutorial content easily accessed via the ecobee app. After powering down the furnace, I removed the old thermostat, labelled the wires, and easily mounted the ecobee to the wall (I used the included faceplate to cover up the scuffs on the wall from my prior thermostat). Then it was a simple matter of rewiring the ecobee and turning the power back on. Here I hit an initial hurdle, as it turns out my boiler system wasn't connected via a common wire to my old thermostat (which was battery powered). After a few attempts, I called ecobee and provided some photos via email for them to further assess what would solve my needs. In less than a day, I had multiple responses from their customer service team with a solution to my problem (I needed an isolation relay installed). In fact, the ecobee crew went above and beyond the call of duty and offered to make a house call to ensure that the device was installed correctly. Huge thanks to Andrew, Mike, and Shalene @ ecobee for the A++ service! The ecobee looks great on the wall, is incredibly easy to control from the app, and is keeping my house comfortable. Would highly recommend the product, whether for yourself or as a gift to someone who's looking to make their own home heating/cooling 'smart.'

Super easy installation. Thanks to clear instructions and intuitive design I was able to get it up and running in 20 minutes even though I have never installed a thermostat before. They've thought of everything down to a cover plate to hide holes from my old thermostat and a built in level! Love being able to control the temperature from my phone, even when I'm not a home. We've already noticed savings on our first bill and more consistent temperature throughout the house which is especially helpful with a new baby.

I recently moved to a house from a condo and Ecobee3 lite just made the transition so much easier. The product features suggest convenience, temperature accuracy, efficient use of furnace and affordability. Functionality: Great product with the following functionalities Wifi enabled: enables controlling the thermostat from any floor level with so much ease. Schedule setting: enables temperature setting as per suggested schedule that can be fed in the system. Installtion: installtion instructions on the app makes it so easy to install. I had to install a P.E.K unit ( included in the kit) in the furnnance given I have a 13 yrs old furnance. The instructions were so easy to follow and completed the installation in 1 hour. Furnance efficiency: Given temperature is measured accurately by this product, furnance usage is effective and efficient. I highly recommend this product in today's day and age.

Thermostat installs easily with great instructions. After you power it up it steps you through the home wifi connection process which also went smooth and effortlessly. As far as programming, there is not much information provided but it's fairly simple process that is conquered by just trying things. Many other settings are available only at the thermostat and only after you start snooping around in the various fields. Works perfectly!

Ecobee was simple to install as it came with mounting screws, the iPhone app had step by step instructions to hook up the wires and to get it running. The integration with Apple Homekit makes it super easy to operate Ecobee with my other smart home devices all in one Apple “Home” app. Coming from a long time Nest user, I would stay if you are thinking of a new smart thermostat the Ecobee Lite is $100 less, works with Apple HomeKit and touch screen device UI is more helpful with a multi-day weather forecast

An excellent product. Very easy to install with their app. Everything that you need is included. It works seamlessly and it feels great to control your home temperature from anywhere in the world. Would recommend to everyone.

This is an outstanding device. It was VERY easy to install with the included directions and labeling system. The interface is very smooth and responsive. This thermostat has a 1 degree variance as opposed to others that are almost 3 degrees. This means if your home becomes more than 1 degree offset, it will turn the furnace/air conditioner on. If you'd like to save money throughout the year, buy this.

This thermostat is great. I've had it installed for almost a month. I installed it myself after emailing with the ecobee staff to make sure it was compatible with my furnace. My furnace required the use of the extra power adapter and I was worried about installing it myself, but it turned out to be very straight forward and I had no issues at all. It took me about 45 mins to install but I was pretty methodical about it. I also find the software program really easy to navigate, program and change when neccessary. I would recommend this thermostat.

My wife bought this for me for Christmas and I love it. It was easy to install and set up. My house has never felt this comfortable. Looking forward to see how it works in the summer.
