Keep your entire house at a comfortable temperature with the cobee3 lite Wi-Fi thermostat. It senses whether people are present and adjusts the temperature accordingly. Featuring a color LCD touch screen that's as intuitive to use as your smartphone, the ecobee3 lite Wi-Fi thermostatand works with Amazon Echo, Apple HomeKit, Samsung SmartThings, and IFTTT.
A: It does not have the room sensor or the future capability to be paired with a sensor, that is the main difference.
A: The common wire is what powers the thermostat so when the power goes out the thermostat will turn off but all your settings are saved and when the power comes back on the thermostat will automatically power back on and you will not have to reset it
Q: Does this require to use the C-wire?
A: Yes, but it comes with an adapter that you connect to replace the c-wire if you don't have a c-wire, this thermostat allowed me to lock my aux strip out so I could get my $550 rebate from electric company.
A: Yes, here in Texas it gets hot when it shouldn't so I keep heat/cool set to 69 (heat will kick on when this temp in reached and 75 (a/c will kick on) all automatically. If you do change it manually just remember to stop the hold set temp.
Q: I just purchase a ecobee 3 lite can you add sensor for each room on this device?
A: The lite version is not compatible with the ecobee3 standard sensors. Instead, I recommend linking it to SmartThings hub and using other sensors.
Q: Does this work with the Google Home?
A: Right now there's no support for Google Home. Apple HomeKit, Samsung SmartThings, Amazon's Alexa, and IFTT are the supports smart home platforms right now. Honestly though the ecobee app looks sleek and works well. You also don't have to ensure you're right by the speaker each time you want to change something on the ecobee with the app. Kind of the reason I don't like Alexa either you have your home littered with speakers or you limit functionality to one space in your home.
Q: What is the difference between the ecobee3 model #:EB-STATE3-02 and model #:EB-STATE3-01?
A: undefined
A: Not sure what you mean by two units. You have 2 heat pumps or one heat pump (outside unit) and blower (inside unit). I would guess if you have 2 outside units and one thermostat before then they are both linked. The sensors relay temp of every room they are in, allowing a more precise activation of a/c verses it being cold/hot near the thermostat and kicking on the a/c/heat even though the temp in other areas of the house are fine.
