It does not have the room sensor or the future capability to be paired with a sensor, that is the main difference.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It doesn't have the extra room sensor and doesn't have the auto learning via proximity sensor and phone detection.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.if you have a small condo or an apartment where it's open space this is a great setup. or if you have a condo/apartment with multi-thermostat, you can use this in addition to the original with the sensors.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The difference between this and the original are room sensors. Now, unless you have a mult-zone system, it really doesn't make sense to have these sensors. If your thermostat is in one room and the sensor is picking up a different temperature in another, the device itself cannot only regulate the temperature in just that room. I see the lite version as a value added option for the money.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Compared to the Ecobee3 (2nd gen), this model does not have the remote sensor. That is the only difference, and it can save you up to $70 to not have that sensor. I think it's a little gimmicky anyway, and I was glad to save the $70. If you think you may want to use a sensor in the future, get the Ecobee3 (2nd gen). You can never add a sensor to the "lite" model.
