Q: QuestionIs it possible to set the thermostat to, lets say 75 cooling and 70 for heat and just leave it there, without changing from cooling to heat and back again?
Asked by BobP.
- A:Answer Yes, here in Texas it gets hot when it shouldn't so I keep heat/cool set to 69 (heat will kick on when this temp in reached and 75 (a/c will kick on) all automatically. If you do change it manually just remember to stop the hold set temp.

Q: QuestionDoes this work with the Google Home?
Asked by Hennaluna.
- A:Answer Right now there's no support for Google Home. Apple HomeKit, Samsung SmartThings, Amazon's Alexa, and IFTT are the supports smart home platforms right now. Honestly though the ecobee app looks sleek and works well. You also don't have to ensure you're right by the speaker each time you want to change something on the ecobee with the app. Kind of the reason I don't like Alexa either you have your home littered with speakers or you limit functionality to one space in your home.

Q: QuestionIf you have two separate units (upstairs and downstairs) but only buy one Ecobee 3 and the sensors that can fill up all the rooms of the house. How happens to the second unit upstairs? Do I have to buy another Ecobee 3 Lite for second unit?
Asked by RaloFunny.
- A:Answer Not sure what you mean by two units. You have 2 heat pumps or one heat pump (outside unit) and blower (inside unit). I would guess if you have 2 outside units and one thermostat before then they are both linked. The sensors relay temp of every room they are in, allowing a more precise activation of a/c verses it being cold/hot near the thermostat and kicking on the a/c/heat even though the temp in other areas of the house are fine.
