“Does the Ecobee Lite Therrmostat go back on after a power outage or do you physically have to reset it?”

The common wire is what powers the thermostat so when the power goes out the thermostat will turn off but all your settings are saved and when the power comes back on the thermostat will automatically power back on and you will not have to reset it

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The Ecobee3 lite will turn back on when the power comes back on. There is no manual switch on the device, so it would be impossible to physically turn it on or off.

It works even when there is no wifi, so the only issue that might occur is if you lose wifi and you are away from home . I would think it wouldn't turn off the thermostat, but you wouldn't be able to control it away until your wifi was up and running again.
