Yes, here in Texas it gets hot when it shouldn't so I keep heat/cool set to 69 (heat will kick on when this temp in reached and 75 (a/c will kick on) all automatically. If you do change it manually just remember to stop the hold set temp.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Totally! If it's on Heat set the desired temperature then whatever you want. Then when you set the ecobee to cool change the temperature to what you want it to be. When you return to Heat the ecobee would have recalled the set Temperature. just be aware that if someone changes either settings after you do then you'll be seeing the thermostat set to different degrees. One good way to prevent this is to set a passcode on the ecobee.
