Smart device and installed by best buy technician, my only regret is they did not honor my geek squad membership.

So far so good. The install instructions were helpful & I was able to get it installed. Curious to see how effective the sensor is.

Great ecobee - Premium Smart Programmable Touch-Screen Thermostat with Siri, Alexa, Apple HomeKit and Google Assistant

This is the first smart thermostat that I've used. Purchased this because my HVAC installer recommended it. I like the features it has and being able to control temperature in the whole house with my phone. My only complaint is with the air quality monitor. After having this my house for over a year now, I get notifications so frequently that it's really useless. I've been doing some research and apparently there is an issue that if the difference in actual air quality is not significant, it can lead to this problem. There is a way to recalibrate the sensor by exposing the thermostat to strong vapors ... haven't been able to get this to work, so I'll be turning those alert notifications off and just know that what I see on the thermostat is probably not correct. That's why I'm giving this 3 stars.

I pike how compatible it was with Iphone and that it has a smart sensor that detects air quality.

This is life changing. I have an electric heat pump with aux heat and this works great! It’s flips seamlessly based on my settings between cool, heat, and aux heat. Sometimes we go through all 3 in a day where I live. I didn’t have a C wire at my thermostat but the support group worked with me on the phone for hours to get a C wire going. They were extremely knowledgeable and had out of the box thinking to resolve my unique problem.
