EcoBee smart programmable thermostat is an amazing gadget to control your HVAC. EcoBee has ton of options to control the heating and cooling. It has an additional piece to be installed in your furnace if your thermostat does not have common wire. The ecobee thermostat has good options to control heat and cold through its phone app and the interface seems to be very intuitive for any user. With additional sensor, the thermostat does make good observations in the place the extra sensor is placed and takes readings in the right way and adjusts the thermostat accordingly. All in all the thermostat is very useful and easy to use and has lot of features.

Out of the box this unit is saying my home is 64° and 82% humidity. Ive verified with multiple other sensors that its 74 and 60%. Dead on arrival.

Super easy to install and set up in the app. I also love the auto feature where you can just leave your ac/ heat within a range of temperatures and it heats/cools accordingly!

The only good part of this is being able to see the temperature at a glance. If you set your temp for 71 it will almost always be 72 in the house. Almost impossible to get help on the phone.

Installed on my heatpump unit so easily. Ecobee Customer support is AMAZING if you need to contact them! Setup a BREEZE and already learning and adapting.

Smart Thermostat, able to set auto mode for both Heat and cold

I don’t like this thermostat. Make your house super cold. I wanted to be 75degress in the summer and always stays at 73 or 71 and that is super cold

I chose the Ecobee over Nest due to the air quality readings it also does. Unfortunately this function is awful. For the first few weeks it read decently well and then started sitting at poor irrespective of if windows were open or not. I have another air quality tester and it shows the air is good. In the end I looked it up online and it seems this is a regular problem with the Ecobee. Other than that it’s more plasticy and cheaper looking than a Nest so I’d really go with the Nest in future. I had one in my last house and it was better.

The stainless finish on the sides of the thermostat makes it have that premium look we all like, worth the money!

I don't like giving bad reviews but this has many issues I have already encountered in a short period of time. 1. Temperature monitoring often reverts back the average temperature instead of using just one sensor. Even if you have the comfort setting set to only use the secondary sensor. The way to fix this issue is restart (But #2) 2. You can't restart the device without pulling it off the wall or flipping the breaker switch. There no way in this app or online or anything that will reboot this. I verified this on reddit from other uses. 3. When setting up the device it said it needed a firmware update there was no way to do a firmware update over the device connected to the computer. They ask you to call them, give your address and homekit access before they will push a firmware update. 4. The air sensor is fake. Search about this yourself. If you are buying this for air sensor, please know it does nothing. It only estimates the air based on how long the heater was on for. So if the heater was off all day it says good air quality if you run heater all night it says bad air quality. It DOES NOT measure any air there is not even a sensor on this device for air. This is also possible dangerously misleading and lawsuit waiting to happen all they need is someone to get CO2 poising from some other source in the house other than the heater and think this thing will actually read a real sensor and keep you safe. It will not it just advertising. 5. It says airplay and siri is supported. But this is only if you have a homepod. So other homekit hubs like Apple TV 4 will not work with this thermostat. You can only use siri if you have a homepod but why would you need siri if you have a homepod? Lots of miss leading advertising on this device. If you don't have a homepod then I don't see any other reason why you would buy premium. Go with a low end model. Because for me siri won't work, second sensor not working (it using averages), and air sensor is fake total miss leading and possible dangerous.

It was surprisingly easy to install. No Problems so far, but its brand new, sooo we'll see how it goes.

Not a good thermostat for high efficiency smart HVAC. Was not compatible because the Ecobee is not smart enough for my HVAC.

The is much better and user friendly than the pervious version.
