Great addition
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought these extra sensors as a Christmas present for my husband. We've had the ecobee for a couple years and he's always wanted extra sensors. We have a 2 story, approx 4000 sq ft house so the extra temperature control is nice. We have one in our daughters bedroom which is always cooler being above the garage, one in our basement and one on the main level. They are motion censored to help even out the temperature and keep areas warmer when they are occupied. They were easy to add to the ecobee system. Every once in a while one goes offline due to a low wifi signal I think but it's always temporary. They can either be placed anywhere on the little stand, or there is something more permanent where you can install to the wall using a sticky tape that's included or drill a holder into the wall and snapping it into place. If you have a larger house I recommend adding more sensors to regulate the temperature better. We like our ecobee. It's user friendly and love that there's no monthly fee.

Works well, good company support
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Product works like it should, albeit with a little fiddling. They weren't detecting motion correctly at first, but I got an email explaining some sensors were put together improperly. The email had simple instructions to take apart the sensor and reassemble correctly. I also had the option to have them replaced if I didn't feel comfortable fixing them myself. Additionally, one sensor had a battery fail. I'm guessing it was a bad battery, but I have faith that if it isn't, it will be replaced quickly by Ecobee.

Must have to get the most effecient product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These sensors are THE best selling point for the Ecobee. Even in a small house like ours where some of the sensors are only maybe 10 feet apart (but in separate rooms) the ability to use the ecobee "follow me" setting is invaluable. So that the ecobee isn't running the heat to warm up a bedroom that no one has been in for hours. Not to mention the fact that they allow the ecobee to gauge the temperature of the house in more places than just the hallway it is mounted. THAT is what makes Ecobee shine. And I highly recommend you start your experience with at least 3 sensors so that as you're getting used to programming comfort schedules and how the ecobee works, you're doing so utilizing readings from multiple rooms. Then any setup you create will be easily expandable if you decide you need more sensors later.

Absolute must if you have an ecobee
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wow. These were simple to setup. I did have an issue with one that would not properly connect and after contacting ecobee turns out it was defective. These help balance out the house temperature across rooms and floors where you only have a single zone. Work great not sure how long battery will last but so far so good.

Money saving sensors!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got these and placed them in the rooms around my house my family is in the most and it’s amazing the change in my ac system. It’s on way less and my house is always at my preferred temperature. With the app on my cellphone it’s so easy to control & change my settings. I’ve had it about a month but I’m very happy with my purchase.

Worked exactly as stated
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I ordered the box of two sensors for my Ecobee 3 and they showed up just as planned. There were indeed two sensors in the box. They paired to the thermostat just as advertised and tell me the temperature of the air in the general area of the rooms in which I placed them. Overall I would say that they work fine.

Worked right out of the box
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These worked right out of the box, no issues with setup! It may be worth noting you have to already have an ecobee thermostat to use these.

Must accessory to Ecobee3
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The ecobee3 is an excellent thermostat and these extra sensors help relay information about temperatures in other rooms of the house and whether or not those rooms are occupied. Setup was easy. The only cons I have is I wish the sensor's occupancy range was a bit farther and I wish it didn't take so long for it to determine the room is unoccupied. Overall it works great and I'll probably end up getting another set for other rooms of the house.

Works as expected, usually
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had a little problem keeping the sensors connected to the thermostat initially, but reorienting the sensor along with a firmware upgrade to the thermostat seems to have fixed the problems

Affordable and excellent product for Ecobee line
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It seems like the best smart home products were some of the earlier ones. I can't believe how many people fall for the Nest line of products. Ecobee all the way! If it isn't obvious, these remote sensors are used only with Ecobee's smart home thermometer (I have the 3, I installed the 4 for my parents). The sensors are pretty much a no brainer for those that have multilevel homes. Your sensor isn't going to be able to tell the temperature fluctuations between the highest level and your lowest level. That's where these babies come in. The sensors broadcast their temperature and your main unit is able to then get an average reading for your house. I can't tell you how important this is if you have pets that may be gated off upstairs and the worry that it may be too hot up there!

Comfort no matter what room we are in!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We have small condo and initially didn't think we needed the extra sensors. But after putting one the bedroom, one in the living room and one in the kitchen, we don't know how we lived without this. We both are usually in the same room, but always yell at each other to change the temperature when cooking, watching TV or sleeping. Now the thermostat does it all for us!

A must have for large spaces
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased the ecobee remote sensors to pair with my ecobee 4 smart thermostat because my home has thermostat in an area that is near an entrance and exposed to direct sunlight all day. The AC was constantly running because that room was always warm and the rest of the house freezing. After setting up the ecobee 4 thermostat adding these extra sensors (the ecobee 4 has one included as well) was extremely easy. I just removed a plastic tab that allows the battery to make contact and immediately the thermostat knew I was adding and asked to verify I was pairing the sensor. I named it to match the room it was to be placed in and it started reading the temperature immediately. This could not have been any easier. After making a schedule for the AC on the ecobee 4 and a few other simple settings through the ecobee app I was up and running and there are no more hot and cold zones within my house.

Essential for Ecobee!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Switched over from the Nest because our upstairs was always a significantly different temperature than downstairs. These sensors are great for the most part - they sense the temperature as well as movement, so it can tell if you're in the room and want the temperature setting to apply to you. Overall missing a few features I'd like, but this is much more promising and provides a nice balance!

Love my ecobee
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been a big fan of Nest ever since they emerged onto the scene. I owned both 1st gen and 2nd gen thermo's. One key piece was missing from Nest that ecobee struck on, remote temperature/motion sensors. This little feature had worked out great for our home, due to the fluctuating room temps. I work in my home office daily and love the "follow me" feature of the ecobee. It works great to reach my set temp just for my office.

Great Ecobee Sensors
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great Ecobee Sensors to help sense the temperature for each room. It will help monitor and adjust the temperature for the entire house. I bought additional ones to help regulate all the other rooms in my house and they have worked great.

Work well
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Work great for monitoring temperatures throughout your home. The sensors cone with the battery preinstalled, just pull out the plastic piece and the sensor is ready to pair with the thermostat. The sensors can be mounted to a surface, or they come with a clear plastic stand for each sensor. Mine are all just sitting on the sensors bottom edge (the dirdctions indicate the sensor should be situated with the white sensor window in the upper left). Pairing the sensor with the thermostat was very easy and you can enter a descriptive name for each sensor. Basically, you have the thermostat search for the sensor and select it once it appears. I have installed a sensor in each room of the house and they are all reading within 1 to 2 degrees of each other. Helpful in balancing the heating/cooling to each room.
