Great addition to increase the functionality of the ecobee thermostats. You can set which temperature sensors(s) in which locations are active by time of day to control temperature.

It’s great to have these sensors to individually monitor the temperature in dedicated rooms.

Easy to set up/pair to the main thermostat. They were smaller than expected (about the size of a golf ball), which is nice because it's not very noticeable.

I have one thermostat in a large house. These sensors help keep rooms upstairs cool in the hot summers. A must have. Easy to install and connect to the ecobee thermostat.

Completes the ecobee experience. Has helps even out the hot and cold spots out accross the house

Balanced out temps utlizing other bed rooms. Cost point is high though. Simple set up.

These were replacements for the gen 1 units. They are a better design and easy to add to the system.

I would have one in every room and soon I will. Not only will these sensors help regulate temperature in desired rooms, they will detect occupancy to help with efficiency.

We love the smart sensors. The rooms are cooler, and the temp is set at a higher degree. These allow the whole house to get cool, not just the area by the thermostat.

The first set that I ordered from Best Buy didn't work. I went through the ecobee troubleshooting steps and they still didn't work. I returned them to Best Buy and got another set to replace them. Brought them home, set them up, and they didn't work either. Wouldn't connect to the thermostat. This time I called the ecobee tech support on the phone. We went through troubleshooting and they still wouldn't connect. Ecobee thought that the issue might be the batteries (they said that Best Buy doesn't sell many of the sensors, so perhaps the batteries were expired). They suggested I purchase some directly through ecobee to test them out. I did that, and sure enough, the ones that came directly from ecobee connected without any trouble. They have been great for keeping the temperature in our bedroom more consistent, since it is far from the thermostat. I returned the ones that I purchased at Best Buy. I can't say for sure that it was the batteries, but that's my suspicion. And they're fairly thick little batteries, so not an insignificant cost. So my rating of the actual SmartSensors from ecobee is 5 stars, but I wouldn't purchase them from BestBuy. I was sad too, because I have the TotalTech membership and like the added warranty.

Must buy if you have an ecobee and rooms have different temps. It's super easy to install on the app. Just read the QR and after a couple other steps, it's done!

My thermostat is in a terrible location, adding these two sensors saved me the expense of calling someone to rewire and relocate it. $79 paid to BB > $224 in labor to plumber!

I would say these are a must have if you use Ecobee thermostat. Gives awlverage from all around the house and motion detection.

Bought these sensors to go with my Ecobee Smart Thermostat and they are amazing. They provide motion sensing and room temperatures wherever they are placed.
