Challenging to pair with thermostat

I already have 5 of these connected but after 2 sets of these being returned, I'm giving up as they just dont work. I even troubleshooted with ecobee and they were no help at all

Can chose to separate the sensor into several homekit tiles so you can use the specific part of the sensor for creating automations.
