Purchased September 2021. Item no longer works. That's not so good. The warranty claim process seems to be designed to discourage you. It was great little machine for the first 6 or 7 months. But we've definitely hit a wall.

Great price whenever there's a discount! $399 is good!

as today the vacuum never go back on the station, she cannot get in, i have always need to help her, i tried with the extension and whit out, we dont have carpet, the vacuum stay in front the station for 10 minutes until the battery died or i push her.

The Deebot N8+ is a great vacuum for maintaining both hard floors and carpets. Setup was a breeze and after charging the Deebot, with one press of a button it was off and running. It mapped out my entire living space and noted where any carpeted surfaces were located, which in the app you can see by areas marked with slash symbols. The app allowed me to label each room, set boundaries for rooms that I didn't want it to go into, as well as setup the path I wanted it to take. The Deebot does a great job adjusting itself for when it transitions between my hardwood floors and area rugs. Once the job is done or the machine gets low on battery it heads back to the dock station and automatically sucks out anything in the machine into the dock's larger vacuum bag. This is the only loud part of it's process, otherwise it runs fairly quietly. It's amazing how much this thing picks up. Overall I think it is a great automated vacuum and would definitely recommend trying it out!

We bought this robot in the hopes that it would lessen our sweeping and mopping duties. It was fine when it was sweeping but while mopping it got stuck every time on the same spot.

This laser system is a real game changer. It scares my cat but works well and gets the floor really clean. Not as clean as a good vacuum upright. It does clean very well. The mapping feature is really awesome. You can see the mapped location and choose just to clean that area At any time. But the problem I have found is thw wet mop side of things. You can place solution in thw vacuum but you can place it on thw spot you need cleaned. I highly recommend that method. But it's a major letdown not being able to clean with solution in the robot. Overall really good vacuum and cleans wet areas well if.you pre treat areas. That's my suggestion to anyone looking to utilize that feature. One last thought the app works great to set up everything. But sometimes you have to start the app up 2 times for it to register the robot.

Didn’t have this item longer than 25 days and had to send it back to the manufacturer for repair. Sent it back over a week ago and still have heard nothing from the manufacturer whether they received it and if they are working to repair. Not happy about this $647.00 item

Bot works well. Good mapping but the onboard dust bin is very, very poor in design. Took it back and bought a IRobot.

This is our second robot, our first robot failed after 14 months, the robot was sent for repairs to the authorized shop from ecovacs. Post repair the robot lasted two months. A second robot was purchased, this robot only functioned well for 1 month, we are now trying our 3rd robot, let's hope this one works better

Lots of great features with the DEEBOT N8+ but I'll cut to the chase about the con - the mop. My primary interest in this product was to have a robot vacuum AND mop. With our family home full time in this pandemic and both of us working from home - any time savings is welcomed. Our toddler and 3 cats team up everyday to dirty up the floors and our 8 year old certainly pulls his weight with contributing. The mop just hasn't cut it... yet. I'm still hoping I just need to get the right combination but haven't found it yet. Mop - So there's a mopping pad you slip on and you fill the little tank with water. Easy peesy. The mopping pad seemed to want to come off a little bit, although I'm thinking if it was a little more damp it might stay put better I'd expect that I'll need to purchase additional mopping pads. Some disposables come along with it as well, but I couldn't imagine regularly using disposable mopping pads and contributing all that waste. So the instructions indicate to dump the water after use. That can be done easy enough, but there's no way you'll actually get it dry so I'm not entirely sure how effective that instruction really will be. There are a couple options with how much water the mop uses. The middle setting was insufficient for our needs. It took awhile for it to get damp enough to even make a mark so I'm a little concerned that it thought it mopped areas that it didn't actually mop. It also took quite awhile to work through rooms. Still a time savings over me doing it, if I can get it to actually work well but if you have a toddler who's deathly afraid of robot vacuum mops, you'll be a little desperate for it to speed up a bit. It was loud, although not nearly as loud as some other robot vacuums I've used previously. I was surprised that it did well recognizing carpet and not mopping it. I'm hoping with a higher level of moisture our experience will be improved a bit and I'll recoup some cleaning time to throw at other things in life. Vacuum - Now for the vacuum, it was a much better experience than I've had with any other robot vacuum. Still loud (especially according to my toddler) but not nearly as loud as the other two I've had before. It picks up a ton better than other robot vacuums and seems to be pretty consistent with its pattern so there's some degree of confidence that it actually hits the entire floor. The debris bin is great. I always hated having to manually dump that on other ones I've used. It always fills far too quickly and it's easy to forget so with the DEEBOT it's one less thing to worry about. The vacuum does a great job negotiating potential obstacles. I wasn't sure if it would manage to pull up onto our kitchen mats since they are pretty thick but it managed just fine. The app works well too. It did a good job mapping the house and it's great to be able to specify what area you want it to clean - super helpful when you're trying to avoid 3 cats and a toddler fearfully yelling "loud" at the top of her lungs. I still have some adjustments to do there to avoid the device running into wires, but other than that the app is pretty user-friendly and easy to you no more than downloaded. Overall, I'm a fan of the DEEBOT and look forward to exploring more of its features. Based on my experience thus far, I expect it to live up to my expectations.

Having been an owner of two other robot vacuums, I was excited to get a multifunction vacuum/mop style vacuum. I have heard great things about Ecovacs prior to owning this model and I have been satisfied since day one with this new release. My major ding by one star was due to some inconsistencies with the mop feature and it overall being a disappointing feature. In addition, I didn't find this vacuum feature as powerful as some older competitor robots when it came to really dirty areas. Setup: It takes about 20-30 minutes to get everything up and running so you can start fiddling with the app and settings. It comes in a large box and you will need to charge it fully before using it, which is expected. It's very easy to get the app set up and I really appreciate this since more basic tech users will be able to get it going with little difficulty. The auto empty station is a huge plus, looks nice, and isn't too bulky. You just have to go through a few clicks on the app to get the robot in action. Floor mapping: I think this is a huge benefit of this robot. You can get really specific with where you want it to go. This also helps it learn faster and avoid hitting objects. Vacuum: Overall it's very good. It's much quieter than my older Samsung and about on par with Roomba. I would say the vacuum power is weaker than I'd like in dirtier areas (I've seen little bits left behind are the doorways, kitchen) but it does a good job. At this price point it should probably be better but I think time will probably make it better. I really like how it avoids obstacles and doesn't slam in to my furniture like my Samsung. It very rarely, if ever gets stuck. It did very well it long dog hair. Mopping: This was very hit or miss. It's clear to me this is not going to replace a regular manual mopping job. I understand this is a little robot but I was overall disappointed in the ability for it to mop dirtier areas. This is also at a time where less dirt has been tracked into the house. It does leave a pretty good wet trail behind it and doesn't really get slightly more stuck on dirt off. Again, you have to realize limitations of these devices but I do think there is room for improvement. I'm not counting it out just yet but I'm skeptical. Coverage per charge: This has been variable but I'd say it gets most of 600 sq ft in one run. Overall, as time goes on these robots only get better and keep the home clean. I think it's a solid 4 stars but the fifth would mean an impressive mop experience which was not the case. I would recommend it, but with some reservations. It's also my first robot with a mop feature so I may need to adjust my expectations.

I’ve avoided upgrading to a self-emptying vacuum for a few years because I saw it as an unnecessary indulgence. Now that I’ve tried a self-emptying vacuum, I don’t think I can go back to the days of shaking out a dustbin and constantly warding off sinus infections. The N8+ feels premium as it should at this price. The Deebots don’t clean as well as Roombas, but they’re so much quieter and I can continue conference calls uninterrupted while Deebot runs around the house. The exception to this is when the Deebot is emptying itself, but the noise is gone in a few seconds. Since the Deebot has a LIDAR camera on top, it doesn’t fit under furniture like like some of their other models. The trade off is that you get unbelievable flexibility with determining how/where/when your Deebot cleans. You can set room cleaning sequence, create artificial boundaries to keep Deebot out of unwanted rooms, see exactly where your Deebot cleaned in the cleaning log, set DND hours, etc. With a house full of dogs— I’m actually surprised that I haven’t already filled up one of the vacuum bags. The Deebot has run twice a day for about a week. Ecovacs advertises that their bags can hold months of debris— but pet owners should be able to eek out a solid month before needing to replace a bag. Get this vacuum- you won’t regret it.
