I have had the deebot t8 for about 2 months. We have tile floors and it is so nice to have dust free floors. The floor is always clean. Best part is, it empties itself.

I was looking for a vacuum that could do a good job with object avoidance - my kids leave toys on the ground and my wife leaves her purse on the ground by the door and I didn't want a vacuum plowing into these. This vacuum does an excellent job going around small objects, but it will still wind up small thin phone charging cords, those will have to be moved. The mopping feature put out only a tiny amount of water at first, but ever since I put a tablespoon of tile cleaner in the reservoir, it does a really great job. I use this on two different levels of the house and found I needed two charge docks, this works, but sometimes when I move the vacuum it doesn't sense its on the right floor and its mapping and navigation gets really messed up, so I need to keep restarting it until it senses it's on the correct floor. I would still recommend this vacuum though since it's object avoidance is excellent.

Works great!! Love this unit, does the job for our size home. Battery life is great! The mopping feature works pretty decent as well.

Very good at mapping and cleaning... much better than our earlier model with select-able options per room. Auto vacuum seems effortless, but still need to occasionally check roller for hair, etc. Vacuums on schedule at 2am daily, then second schedule at 4am, auto dumping in between so it's never overfull. Mopping works, but not as happy at the mopping, but there is an added component we could pick up that adds scrubbing which would help... still better than the 930 version. Price for performance much lower than competitor alternatives. Performs better than father's iRoombot/

This vacuum is great. Each part (vacuum and empty station) have their own little issues, but with some adjustments they work flawless. Mopping: I’m not using this feature. Vacuum: Works great on hard surface even on low suction. Carpet activates greater suction and gets lots of dirt from the carpet. I would recommend to go once a month and hand vacuum all the edges and areas below couches or beds that are too low for the vacuum. You need about 3 ¾ “ clearance for it to go underneath. I use it every night at 23:00 to do half of the house. It works great with no lighting and avoids anything that has a couple inches of height. It won’t see little lego pieces, but small toys all get avoided. (Way better than the T8 AIVI). 3 times a week it will vacuum the other half of the house at 08:00 with the bedrooms and bathrooms. Once a week maintenance takes maybe 15 min. but that’s where you need to be careful. Every time you lift the vacuum make sure to turn it off first. when placing it back it needs to locate itself first. That button is only available with multi floor level activated even if you only have a single story house. If it can’t find it’s location you need to immediately turn it off and place on charging station or it will remap the house. If you follow these steps I haven’t have any issues with the map. Another small tweak is needed if your doors are not always open. So when my hallway is closed and it vacuums the house at night it marks that door as closed. So when I want the other half of the house cleaned in the morning I have to clean a small area in front of the now open hallway door first before it proceeds. Otherwise it gets confused by the closed door on the map. This is all automated. You just need to create a “room” in front of whatever door seems to be the issue. Empty Station: Over a month now with the first bag. Household with kids. no animals. Only issue arises when lots of long hair gets sucked up with dust. When the station tries to empty the vacuum it will suck the hair out of both openings at the same time. Basically playing tug of war with the hair pulling at the same time through both openings. My fix was increasing cleaning the bedrooms and bathrooms from twice a week to 3 times a week. I did play with covering one of the two openings in the vacuum which seemed to also work. But as long 3 times a week works I will leave the holes alone. Overall works great. Summary: Great product. Needs some tweaking for your specific household. Need some skills for the app. Not a work right out the box kind of thing. If you’re willing to spend some time on getting it right it works amazing.

Works great and is very quiet.one thing is annoying is the map keeps resetting but the vacuum is great. App needs update.

Works great. Simple to set up. Takes a couple of passes for it to figure out the rooms. Also is very quiet which is why I selected this over other brands.

This solved my problem of using a manual vacuum and spending hours doing chores. I am definitely going to purchase another for our second floor.

Great vacuum pretty much love it. Only downfall is you have to take the mopping apparatus out for to only sweep. I feel like it should be an option in the app to either mop and sweep or only sweet.

This has been one of my favorite purchases in recent years. We owned an iRobot but I always felt like I needed to clean up after it as it missed a lot of spots. With the laser mapping and intuitive app you are able to create a map of the areas that need cleaning and which to avoid (carpets, baby play mat, etc.). I can't speak for the mopping function as we haven't used it, but the robot does a phenomenal job at hitting all the desired areas. The self empty function is an additional feature I didn't know I needed. Highly recommended!

Great vacuum. Cleans really well and very easy to use with the app. Ability to clean zones makes it very useful. Auto cleaning is nice too.

Bought an ECOVACS robot 10 months ago. The mapping functionality does not work. Period. The robot has lost my map 10 times, so about once per month. Even when the map is “working” the robot will create a new/alternate map while cleaning. This causes the robot to become disoriented and fails to return to the dock. There have been COUNTLESS times that my wife screams at me to pick up the robot in the middle of the room because it’s stuck there. The fun times are when the robot is stuck under the bed, close to the pits of Hell, and I have to somehow pull it out. Oh, but whatever you do, please don’t move the robot if it’s still powered on. Yep, even if the robot cannot find its way back home and beeps at you to come move it, you must first power off. And good luck turning it off when it’s under your bed/couch. The on/off switch requires you to lift up a latch first - but that’s impossible with a couch on top of the robot. If you do have to move it without shutting off, then the map is lost, forever, despite the app allowing you to save the map. I can’t tell you how many times I have saved a good map, only for it to be lost during the next cleaning cycle. This robot is fine as a machine, but the critical mapping software doesn’t work. This rendering the machine useless . Don’t waste your time until they fix the mapping

This eco vac is the best robotic vac and map. It’s quite and can be set to run in the middle of the night.

Best robot I’ve used by far… we named her Rosie.. Rosie completely mapped the entire upstairs of our house, she spends 45 minutes twice a day vacuuming and mopping, the difference was noticed immediately the dust in the air is nearly non existent now the cat hair is almost non existent I can literally walk from one end of the house to the other bare foot and not have my feet covered in dust and hair…. If your looking for a robot she is the one

So far so good. Love the auto empty station! Robot was able to vacuum both LVT and carpet. Carried the robot upstairs so it could map the 2nd floor and so far it's a really nice unit. We set it so it cleans when we are gone.

Incredible AI and cleaning power. Got the deal and do not regret my purchase. Has a great mopping, but you need the PRO MOP for $99 in order to get cleaner results. But the default mop is good enough if the members in your household does not get your floor dirty. Been using it everyday to clean the kitchen where the kids make every night.

Very good vacuum, I got it on a a Deal of Day , so I got it for a very good price. For $300 and below this is a very good vacuum. I havent tried the mop yet
