It was a constant struggle to get this unit to clean and empty properly. The whole point of a robotic vacuum is to make your life easier, not harder! I spent the extra money to get the self-empty feature, and if you have dogs, this is really useless. I can't say if it would really work or not without the dog hair, but it's easily clogged and never empties for me, forcing me to manually empty every day. The unit also cannot reliably dock itself. It tries for like 15 minutes every day, and 90% of the time cannot dock itself. The unit also constantly loses the map you created. Rebuidling the map and relabeling it in order to use the area clean feature is a time-consuming matter. Given that this happens regularly, it's unacceptable. Also continuously gives "Drive Wheel Error", and spins in circles. Not smart about how it cleans rooms, returning several times to the same place. So far as Ecovacs customer support goes, they do respond quickly by email, but offer no real solutions to the problems. For a unit at this price point, I expect better performance. I have no interest in ever dealing with this company again.

The robotics cleaner arrived as expected. I was somewhat apprehensive, but followed the instructions and got the vacuum up and running. The first vacuuming went very well, and was followed by several more successful sessions. I was surprised at how through the robot vacuumed. Then I started using the mop function and was even more pleased. The robot maid does a great job keeping my home floors cleaned.

Does a good job of doing maintenance cleaning. Still need to periodically do deep clean with a regular mop. Could do a little better when mopping.

Amazing robot, with navigation, mopping, auto clean and storage and so much more. Perfect for homes with pets.

Happy owner, have had this a year now. The mopping function may as well not exist - let's be honest, it just kinda lightly drags a damp cloth around, it's pretty useless. Self-empty function needs a mod - you have to duct-tape the flap on one of the outgoing vacuum ports in the debris collection bin, so when the self-empty function runs, all the debris only goes out one port. Otherwise all manner of hair and whatnot will simply get stuck between the two ports and it won't empty. The mapping and app are...not exactly intuitive and have their fair shares of quirks. It's not exactly user friendly and I can see why people get irritated at the mapping/scheduling, etc. I have an engineering brain so I haven't run into issues, and have been happily running it 3-4x/week for a year now. There's a FB group and a subreddit out there for owners, and there's tons and tons of help there for frustrated owners to help work things out. Cons: hair gets looped around either side of the roller brush all the time, so I am pulling out the roller brush and pulling hair off either end once a week. Hair also gets pulled into and looped around the sides of the directional pivot wheel - I finally cleaned that out but it was back to being completely filled again within a day. doesn't seem to affect the function though, so I probably will just let it be. All told, I'm happy with this little thing. I'm hopeful that it lasts for many years to come.

This is the best and most feature-rich robot vacuum I have owned up to this point. The suction has been great - it cleans very well. It doesn’t get stuck as often as the other vacuums I’ve owned in the past. With self emptying capability, good navigation and voice controls, I have not held this vacuum for a month now. It’s like living with a maid.

Does a great job vacuuming our main floor. It worked out its map and has had no problems keeping it. I divided it into areas and can select them individually or in groups. Have not used mop feature yet. Only issue is the auto-empty. It cannot get fibers out, leaving a clump in the vacuum. Easy to manually clean, but not as convenient as we were expecting. The rest is good enough that I did not deduct a star, but I would have if I had a shedding dog!

Its not that great even for the sale price. The auto empty station is solid. The robot vacuum is good at avoiding items but just not that good at everything else. The most frustrating thing is if it doesnt avoid an obstacle and gets stuck you have to be very careful about lifting it. You can very very easily delete the map and it does it automatically and there is nothing you can do about it! You can't use the advanced functions until there is a full map and only the robot can determine when there is a full map. Terrible. Cleaning is decent though.

This is a great vacuum overall. Very thorough with a tremendous battery life. You have to run it at least daily if you have pets like I do, as the dust bin gets too full and will not empty if you go longer. It is quiet and adjusts when going from wood floors to carpet. Set up was not easy with it taking three times to get it to work with the app. When I shared it with my wife, she couldn't get it to work with the app and it ended up disappearing from my app and now it only runs on hers. Finally, the ability to set up the schedule seems to be missing from the app and at this point we are afraid to change anything. Good buy, needs some app tweaking.

This is my third Ecovac 920, N8 Pro & T8+ with Auto dust bin. I believe this one is the best in performance. The 3100 ext battery makes a big difference for my house (3400 sqft) Once you get used to the best you can't go back. Now I'm considering getting a 2nd for the upstairs. Tired of caring it up and down even thought holds 2 maps it' nice not to deal with the swap.

I have 2 dogs that constantly sheds. I run the auto vac once everyday on high suction. The noise level is a bit loud on max but tolerable and doesn’t require recharge during each sessions The bag holds about 1 month worth of dog fur and other carpet debris. It can go over high pile rugs but not bathroom rug. No idea why. It rarely gets stuck on things. But when it does, sadly it remaps again because it doesn’t locate where it was well. I have only had to change out the main roller brush and filter once within 1 year.

I have been using it for more than a year now and I'm not hugely impressed with it. It does a decent job when there are no blockers. When it comes to cleaning the edge, it fails and being a techie, I do understand the limitations. It always has issues when returning to the charging station although the dock is made available in space which is easy to locate and free from any blockers,

A little tough to get the map set up initially and you need to be sure to save and name it because if your Deebot (We named ours Sophia, after the golden girl Sophia Petrillo.) gets to lost or falls off a ledge, you need to be able to restore the map or it will create a new one and all that set up, including individual room preferences would need to be redone! Clean quite well, the only issue is pet hair. It picks up pet hair quite well, but as far as self-cleaning goes, it seldom empties it. If you don't check it will fill up completely, right up to the brush, and not clean your house.

The device does the work alone. The battery life is for one room before charging.
