Good mapping and vacuuming. The auto disposal sometimes doesn't suck out everything from the robot.

I’ve had this for about a month and it’s a decent robot vac. Set up wasn’t as easy as it should be. Had a little issue using the app to set it up but was eventually able to get the bot vac added into the app. Physical placement and set up was easy vs the app. The app is usable for me and not confusing for the basic options. It vacuums pretty good and doesn’t run into objects as much and often as my prior robot vac (which also was by (ecovac). The auto empty bin is a great feature. I don’t have to worry about emptying the bin. This vac helps me maintain my house clean. The mop feature is rather useless. First, you can only use water...no cleaning solution. Second, the pad doesn’t put even pressure into the floor leaving what appears to be streaks. Third, I have to set mine on the max water dispense level to get any good water amount on my hardwood floors. All of this combines to make the mopping feature rather useless. This has a multi floor map feature. I’ve tried it twice following the directions on the map with no success. I’ve been able to save my main floor. But can’t save the map to my upstairs. The reason being the robot for some reason can’t find the dock after vacuuming. The robot needs to find the dock itself in order to save the map after it has finished vacuuming. In the end, if I had to do it again, I’d go for another brand name for the same price.

Great as a vacuum and avoiding most obstacles. It gets stuck on our thinner rug edges. The “mopping” just leaves all dirt and 3 damp streaks behind it. Would’ve rather purchased one without the “mop” feature.

Vacuums well. Not so much the mopping function. Overall, satisfied with the unit.

We got this because or IRobot S9 died after just 1 year. It is very good at avoiding objects and in the couple of months we have had it only 1 time did it not complete the cycle. My only complaint is it does not do well with pet hair. The bin need to be manually emptied because the auto empty does not seem to pull the hair from the vacuum. The vacuum suction is not as good as the IRobot was and sometimes it does leave stuff on the floor.

It does a decent job vacuuming but as always its the negetives that stick out when you pay premium price. Positives: - Very quiet - does a decent job vacuuming carket and hardwood floor. - The app is friendly but frankly all robot apps are average in general. Negetives: - it takes too much babysitting. Every other day its stuck on a toy or wire or something. It really doesnt live up to its object avoidance promise. - the bags. 3 for $20. Seriously?

This vacuum is absolutely wonderful. I love the fact that it vacuums in straight lines for the most part, and it detects objects in its path and goes around them. I haven't tried out the mopping feature yet. I loved this vacuum so much, I went back 2 days later and purchased a second one for upstairs.

The set up directions are bit confusing but the app itself is amazing!

This thing is amazing, I have a husky we have a schedule that cleans area by area daily and have no more dog hair. By doing the house in areas the dog hair does not get to heavy in the bin and get stuck. I purchased the mop pro accessory and have it mop once a week

This is not my first robot but definitely my first ECOVACS. I wanted to get another one for my downstairs to compliment my older well functioning NEATO XV-21 and this did not disappoint. It cleans very well, it connects to the base, it never gets lost, it cleans in a neat lines and the app functions well. I have had a couple instances where it lost my map but I was able to restore it via the app within minutes. I like having the dust collector attached which is a first for me, it makes cleaning it a lot easier than manually dumping he bin. My only complaint is, dog hair. While it picks up nearly everything, sometimes If I do not empty the robot half way through cleaning the downstairs, when it goes to suck out the debris on it's own, It doesn't clean it out complete. My house is about 2800 sq feet, so it's not massive but not too small.

Cleans great, mopping is also great but as long it is not stuck things on floor

Excellent at vacuuming. Obstacle avoidance & navigation are the best of any robot vacuum. Giving only 4-stars for 2 reasons: - It's great on wood floors and low-mid pile carpet, but it can not make it over our high pile rugs. - the app can sometimes do odd things with the map or "forget" the map alltogether.

Everything from setup to use on a regular basis is flawless. It does a far better job of vacuuming far better than a regular upright. The auto emptying is the frosting on the cake. The only other work is to clean the filters after every 10 or so uses.

It's only been a week but i am loving it so far as a golden retriever mom. It definitely keeps it hair and dust free if I use it daily. The mopping is not as if it was mopping myself but I am okay to go over it once or twice a week softly. Overall if I had a chance I would give 9 points..

Works great and does what it should. It doesn’t always completely empty out into the dustbin like it should, so it has to be cleaned out some times. But, this is better than the last shark we had. We actually have one upstairs and one downstairs because of how good it is.

Does a great job. Very smart vacuum that doesn’t require a ton of maintenance. The mop part works as expected. It does an okay job, good enough for us to run it during the week and sweep+mop ourselves on the weekend.

great vacuum that picks up stuff without any issues. very precise and gets every bit of surface. comes with the disposable garbage bin, last a few hours which is plenty enough to clean around the place.

Followed the directions during set up from the box, and them from the app during first runs. It made a solid map with letter based rooms, and did an excellent clean. The detection system is amazing, coming from the sharkIQ in comparison.

Bought this during the recent sale at $450. Thought I got a deal, until I tried to run it... My conclusion as compared to Roborock S5Max: Pros: 1. T8's vacuum and mop options have more settings - quieter than S5M in the quiet mode 2. T8 maneuvers better than S5M over rugs, etc. Cons: 1. Mapping pain if you have an average American house, i.e., 2 levels with about 1000SF each, with various rooms. It will not complete easily. I never got mine to complete mapping of either floor successfully in 4 days and 10 attempts. No joke. 2. The self-empty feature does NOT work for carpet lint and probably not pet hair. It simply doesn't clean. You HAVE To manually clean. 3. Bad app - frequent data requisition timeouts. If you switch to another app and back, it has to refresh everything again like there is no cache. And I have a Samsung Note 10+ phone, plenty powerful. Also tried the iOS app with pretty much the same results. 4. Bad at finding base. It fails for me about 50% of the time. 5. Terrible routing - it often runs in circles and repeats the same paths over and over. And this is with the object avoidance off. If on, it's much worse. 6. Poor support - they do have online chat, but the reps are like their polite robots: You will get two types of answers for every problem reported: a. Dear customer, here is the "canned copy/paste from the manual" b. Dear customer, sorry to hear about the problem. Please send a video showing the issue. Pretty sure you will see the same type of reply from Ecovacs to my review. LOL... Conclusion: buy this if you have a simple condo that has no carpets. In all other cases, avoid.

Setup was a breeze. Vacuum cleans well. My issue is I have a dog with long hair. The dust bin does not empty when there is hair in it. I have to manually empty the dust bin each time. The ports where the dirt hair comes out on the vacuum are very small. I have sent an email to Ecovac.
