Awesome product but leaves clumps of dog hair all over

We bought this about 18 months ago. In the first year we had to send it in for multiple repairs at one time. Now that the one year warranty is up the little cheap plastic clip that holds the spin brush on broke when I was pulling some hair off the brush. I would have to send it in and pay for it to be fixed. The auto empty rarely worked, it also doesn't empty when full like other vacuums do. Really disappointed in the cheap quality of this product. And one little plastic clip we can't purchase for it.

There’s a trick on YouTube for pet hair. I’d say the hair getting stuck in the bin is the only downside here. By taping one of the vents shut on bottom of the bin, it handles pet hair much better with a 1/5 times it gets stuck when it auto empties

This vacuum works great, until it gets stuck and runs out of power. If it gets stuck and you happen to open the app, like at the end if a work day, it will show you on a map where it is. That is, as long as you check before it runs out of power. If you check after it’s out of power it just reports “robot offline.” I’m not sure why recording the last known location is a dealbreaker for this company but it resulted in me losing my vacuum. I have no idea where this wayward smart device has wedged itself, but I am out of locations to look.

Got it on a daily deal, 100% worth what I paid. Would definitely reccomend (not at full price or the $550 it sits at most of the time) but it cleans carpet and hard floors well. Havent used the mop features yet.

So far so good. Does not go up on the rugs very well but other than that it seems to work well.

Do not buy. This worked great for the first 6 months of running maybe once a week if not every other week. I have one dog and one cat and run this is a hallway, bedroom and kitchen and now all of a sudden it will not empty the dust bin. Contacted ecovacs support because this is less than a year old and is under warranty and there response was try it with pieces of paper in it and see if that works. Well it did, so now there answer is to run the vacuum in stages, make the vacuum clean each area separately. This is beyond unacceptable and I wish I knew this before I purchased.

Extremely smart robot for a great price especially during the November sales. Does a good job of picking up dust and light maintenance around the house especially with 2 cats. Make sure to have it run at least every other day or so so the bin does not become overwhelmed though.

Definitely enjoy the convenience of the product. Very cool but pricey.

Short version of this review: go buy this right now. Ok, longer version: What's in the box: quick start guide, vacuum, extra filter, mopping pads, brushes and vacuum bag. Charging station with built in auto empty feature. Setup: very easy. Plug in the home station, set robot on it, download app and follow instructions. I was set up and ready to go in minutes (well, except waiting 6 hours for it to charge) Use: You definitely want to use the app for this robot. You can press the button on the top of the vacuum to start a session, but you don't get many of the features. Within the app, you can start the first run, which will map out your floorpan (multiple floors are supported). The navigation and the way this vacuum mapped out my house was excellent, WAY better than any other robot I've had. Once you have the floorpan laid out, you and label rooms, set no go lines, schedule cleanings for the whole level or specific rooms and much much more. The app is very powerful and works very well. Cleaning and navigation: simply put, its amazing! The combination of sensors and cameras makes this the smartest robot vacuum I've ever seen in motion. It does a very smart and methodical cleaning routine, and even boosts power when on carpet vs hard surface. Once its done, it goes home and self empties. Spectacular Mopping: this is where the unit falls flat, and I'll probably never use the mop feature. I was confused on how to even use it, as the manuals don't explain it at all. I finally figured out that you fill the water bin (with water only, no cleaner) attach the pad, and start the robot on a hard surface NOT from the base (well, my base is on carpet so that could be why it messes up). Once I started it that way, it mopped my tile and avoided carpet just fine. It doesn't clean that much, mainly a "wet dusting" as its just a damp cloth. Battery: Takes forever to charge, but it also lasts FOREVER! I've had many different brands and models of vacuums, and none of them can do my entire level on a single charge. This robot does my whole level, with extra battery remaining AND it does a great job vacuuming. Overall: amazing vacuum, not so great mop, but I don't care that much about the mopping since the vacuum works so well. Simply put: Ignore the fact that this can mop and buy the best robot vacuum out there.

I would never wish this vacuum on anyone. It will not maintain a map and if you factory reset it will never clean more than one room again. The app is trash also.

Great vacuum system. We have a dog and it picks up all the hair and dirt off the floor and carpet. I set it to clean the house when I leave and it takes about an hour to clean everything. I can get under the bed which I can do with my upright vacuum.

Have loved this vacuum. There is a bit of periodic maintenance in cleaning the brushes but it’s been worth it. Love the LiDAR! I don’t know there is a perfect robot vacuum on the market but this one with the auto-empty bin has been a winner for me.

Works as advertised except it doesn't go home on its own.

Vacumm and performance is very good. I saw some times map is not doing well.

I had this product for about a month now and I found that the robot does not do good job on the area rugs especially with the ones having darker colors (mine had shades of brown that it avoided cleaning). As for mopping, The mopping system that comes with the robot does not use water and hence the mopping is not effective. I bought mopping system (Ecovacs Deebot OZMO Pro Mopping System) and that didn't good job either. Even slightest stains on hardwood floor was not cleaned completely and left stain marks in other areas surrounding the actual stained area. When put on carpet for vaccum, it did decent job but dust couldn't be auto-emptied for some strange reason. I had to do it manually which totally defeats the purpose of auto-empty station. Unless they do drastic changes to the hardware and software, the product won't do justice for the price.

This is a pretty smart vacuum. I have a LOT of pet hair that this picks up, and it handles even long hair fine, you just need to manually clean the brushes every 2-3 cleanings. My house is a lot cleaner and healthier thanks to this purchase

Absolutely love this Vacuum! The self emptying was one of the main reasons we went with this one! We call her Rosie and she does a great job especially on our hard vinyl flooring.
