Ecovacs DEEBOT T9+ VACUUM AND MOP ROBOT The DEEBOT T9+ has a lot of interesting features and comes with very good instructions. After unwrapping all the packaging and downloaded the Ecovacs app, I charged the Deebot to full power - which did not take long because it was already partly charged. First, I vacuumed a hard wood floor with a large area rug on the standard setting. I wondered if it might get stuck on low hanging curtains but it did not. It was good at navigating around furniture and obstacles. However, I did notice that it missed some dirt - but that may just need a stronger suction setting. When finished, it automatically empties the dust bin, which is amazing! The only downside is that you can't really see how much dust it picked up because it is hidden in a collection bag. I am not sure if I will need to buy more dust bin bags. It comes with a couple, but I would not like needing to frequently be ordering more.   I ran the mopping function and was happy to see that it automatically avoided the carpet/area rug. I was mopping laminate flooring so I used the medium function and it gave a nice light wipe of the floor. Next time I will try a stronger scrub. I did notice that the machine says just to use water and no chemicals or floor cleaning solutions. I believe this is because the water container would get messed up, but that does mean you don't get as much of a sanitizing clean, but rather a basic water mop. Then I decided to try a stronger suction power on the center area rug to get what it seemed to miss before. The first time it vacuumed it made a map on the app so I was able to draw lines indicating where I didn't want the vacuum to go and it worked great! I basically blocked out everything but the rug and charging station and it followed the path amazingly well. I ran it with the air freshener function on, along with a stronger vacuum setting, and it does a great job of spreading the scent. This is such an awesome feature. It did seem that there were a couple spots of dust missed again, but it may be that as time goes on and the sensor picks up and maps the room better, the vacuum will better know how to navigate the area and catch the missed spots. It can be noisy on stronger settings, but it has lower and higher settings. I do like that I can adjust the alert volume for when the Deebot talks.  Overall, I am very excited to see what else this baby can do.

The Deebot T9+ by Ecovacs Robotics is way better than my first and outdated competitor by a longshot. The avoidance sensors alone are bad to the bone, so much better than that fishy one. The Deebot is lightyears ahead in my opinion with the optics, app, and ease of setup. Once I sownloaded the app, setup and registration took about 10 minutes before the vacuuming commenced and here is what I found, good and bad, there is a reason it did not get 5 stars, a little fix and it will be. Pros: The vaccum learns its route extremely fast, utilizing the boundary setup once it runs its first full vacuum. Get ALL big things and definitely all the little things off the floor before running the first learn cycle. This thing lays lines like a mower in olus grass, love the look and you can tell where it has been. It goes over big thresholds with ease due to its power and wheel design that lifts the vacuum up over tall wood and metal thresholds The vacuum is not loud at all, much quieter than a traditional vacuum. Self empties when it is full, just replace the bag when it is full. The mop is great for vinyl flooring, does great on light dirt, not the best on hardwood for some reason, no matter what, it left streaks. The side brushes work great getting the edges along baseboards and table/chair legs. Fast cleaning is awesome! The smell from the air freshener is a great touch. Cons: This is the main reason for 4 stars, the brush is NOT meant for homes with women and long hair. The brush needs to have a design like most pet hair vacuums and utilize a tangleless hair brush. I spend a lot of time fixing the brush on this Deebot. I have 4 daughter and a wife, it is insane how much hair we shed. Thats is, that is my only con and it is a huge one unfortunately. I would definitely buy this vacuum though, it saves me time over vacuuming traditionally, even if I do have to clear the brush 1 or 2 times a cleaning

Overall This is one of those brands that doesn't really come to mind while shopping for something. Only seeing it lined up on a shelf with other similar products does one usually recall seeing elsewhere. For the most part, this is an advanced feature rich robot vacuum. With various sensors scattered across the front, rear, bottom, and top with push sensors along the front and sides of the vac, it handles navigating your space with little trouble. it pairs with the Ecovaccs Home app and while I see no connection option in-app, there's a Google assistant connector in Google Home. I can only assume you can use with voice commands. But while offering good options for operation, the bot feels a little "half baked" for lack of a better word. Features The T9+ comes with an impressive suite of navigation tools. A first run reveals it’s impressive mapping capabilities. Circling around a room reveals its depth of view and it’s accuracy in mapping. Forgot a box on the floor? The Jet Bot will accurately map around it, whether or not you’re on an initial flooring scan or during a cleaning routine. To get a sense of how well it mapped, right out of the box before pairing with the app i powered it on and got the button on top to start. It was soon rolling down my hallway vacuuming just about everything. The side brushes handle dust and hair from any fur babies you may have. Except, they leave a little to be desired. At least when compared directly to other manufacturers in the same price range. Once completed, connecting it to the app gave out a well made floor plan, even the random box in it's path. With a floor plan, you’ll unlock map customization options such as virtual boundaries, for both mopping and vacuuming, a 3D map function which I honestly could never make work, and room layouts. Additionally, it takes that same map and creates a WiFi coverage map, which never updated past the first map it created or ever improved accuracy. If any portion of that map is incorrect it allows you to easily edit. Did it map the living room, guest bedroom, guest bathroom and office to room 1? If so, editing would allow you to split them into logical spaces. Guest spaces and office to room 1 while living room to room 2. You might be thinking what's the point? Imagine creating a schedule for 10am when kids are at school and everyone else is at work. That could be an opportune time to vacuume the living room. A second schedule can be made for later in the day such as 7pm for both guest spaces and soho office. It allows as much fine tunning as choosing the order in which the rooms would be cleaned. The air freshener function is a really neat trick this packs. Not only can it disperse whatever scent of smell-good you load into it while cleaning, but you can activate it from it's charging station. The mopping tank gives it some added versatility, but they really need to update some areas in the software. Performance Cleaning comes with several options. Quiet, standard, max and max+. When moving from a solid to carpeted surface it's power adjusts to reflect that. It would appear to change up to max, but i haven't felt the need to really test max+ to hear the difference. Navigating across multiple surfaces such as carpet, tile, and vinyl proved to be a simple task. Battery life seems to go well over 2 hours using standard. Once finished cleaning, it returns to the charging base and empties the trash bin automatically. Issues The first, and the most annoying. According to the instructions you're supposed to remove the mop tank when charging. This makes schedules useless for the bot as you need to be present to babysit and remove or swap for the air freshening tank. I would take a function that parks the vacuume next to the charging station rather than return to charge. I mean, it's aware the type of tank you have in it by illuminating the start button either white for vacuume or blue for mop. The next, no matter what it's doing, the spin brushes never stop spinning. This isn't much of a problem but should be causing more than needed wear on them when not really in use. One example, as it drives up the ramp to reach the charging pins, the brushes are spinning brushing against the hard surface of the ramp and digging into the ramp grooves. The instructions that come with the bot are lacking in several areas. Specifics to setting up the mop are non-existent. Details to cleaning solutions, i assume water is the only solution but there isn't anything stated anywhere. Conclusion This is a very nice cleaning machine in my home. Despite it’s flaws, it can clean what I need really well. There's a few annoyances i can easily work around.

Deebot never ceases to amaze with their robot vacs and the T9+ follows in this same vein. This robot vac does an excellent job both vacuuming and mopping my house. Between the top notch house mapping, quietness, and great cleaning power there is very little not to like about this robot. In use the Ecovacs robot is really simple. They've done a great job making the app very intuitive and easy to use. The robot will map your house and then get straight to work. I haven't had any problems with the bot getting lost or not cleaning certain areas. The power of the vacuum in such a small package is really amazing. By having this run its schedule I rarely have to worry about keeping my floors clean. On top of that the disposable mop pads make mopping really convenient and allow this bot to be the full floor cleaning package. Overall, this vac checks almost every box you'd want for a floor cleaner, great mapping, self empty, and amazing cleaning power. Deebots continues to set itself apart in the floor cleaning game.

Excellent Robot Vacuum with a Caveat

I have had an opportunity to use the T9+ for a little over a week. In summary, it is one of the better robot vacuums that grace the hallways of my house (I have four). So good, in fact, that I have gifted one of my old robot vaccums (a well-known name brand) to my mom. The T9+ easily outpaced this older vacuum, offering mapping, a quiet but powerful vacuum, great battery life, and a brilliant white finish that looks excellent sitting in my loft. I utilize the T9+ as an upstairs vacuum, where it vacuums a little over 1,000 square feet of medium-thickness carpet and a hundred square feet or so of tile. Compared to two other well-known robot vacuums that I have (one in my master and the other for the rest of the upstairs), the T9+ does a much better job of making the carpet look like its been vacuumed, and also does so quietly and without having to charge in the middle. I had one major issue with the T9+, and that was its mapping function. I unleashed the T9+ on my house and was disappointed when, instead of quickly mapping the upstairs, it decided to do a cross between clean and map. And when I had to interrupt it because it was taking over an hour to map and clean, there was no way to save and add to the map. The T9+ ignored the rooms it hadn't mapped and there was no way to tell it to add new rooms. I had to delete the map and send the T9+ around again. Then, after it had mapped a room, my daughter closed the door. The T9+ tried to go back in, and when it couldn't it then removed that room from the map. I had to delete the map again and then try for a third time to get the T9+ to map the upstairs. The third time was the charm. Since then, it has worked flawlessly. I marked the T9+ down a star because of this mapping challenge. All the other robot vacuums I've had had a much easier and simpler mapping function that was faster and more effective. Other than that, the T9+ is a winner.

Thanks for your review - great to hear your T9+ is performing well. For this model, initial mapping takes place while cleaning. To prevent disruptions to the first mapping:
      - Fully charge to 100% before starting so it can map out the floor in one go
      - Keep all doors open so it can find all the rooms and areas you want routinely cleaned
      - Leave it running and don’t pick it up or move it unless instructed to, otherwise it will lose its map and may need to start over, as you experienced
Glad to hear the mapping worked with these steps. If you have any other questions or comments, please reach out to us at [email protected] or 1-844-326-8227. ecovacs

I have owned a few robot vacuums from various brands but I was still excited to give the Ecovacs Robotics Deebot T9+ Vacuum and Mop Robot. I owned a different model from Ecovacs that was decent but didn't quite perform as well as some of the others I have owned from different brands but to be fair it was a more base model. This one seems to check off most if not all of my household needs in one machine. Setup was fairly simple and the Ecovacs smartphone app was easy to navigate even if I weren't already familiar with it. I did notice great improvements to the mapping system compared to the older model that I own. This is always a plus in robot vacuums, especially if you have a home with quite a few obstacles like mine lol. Having an auto empty station is an absolute must and this one has a fairly generous dust bag capacity. Performance wise this does a great job on my hard surfaces as well as the carpeted areas when vacuuming which is expected and the mopping feature is more than adequate. I wouldn't say that it means I no longer have to do a true manual mopping of my home ever so often but it does get the job done satisfactorily. The air freshener is a pleasant plus that I worried would be more gimmick than functional but it really is a nice touch. The only negative I have noticed so far is with the mopping feature. While like I said it does a satisfactory job while mopping I would have expected it to be a bit less tedious with needing to switch the plates versus it being able to both coexist. It's not a huge deal or dealbreaker...but I have used others that better fit my expectations.

I want to start by saying I already own a robot vacuum cleaner and I had very low expectations on a robot vacuum anymore. My old one just makes a lot of noise and doesn’t really do any good cleaning. Its one of the dumb ones that just bumps around the house and eats every cord in site. I still wanted to try this out and find out if my opinion changes. Yes! It indeed changed after the first time I used this robot cleaner. I love that this has the vacuuming and the mopping all in one appliance. You do have to attach and remove the pad unless you want it to drag it across areas where you have carpet. But that's another nice thing about this vacuum, you can run the vacuum as just a vac and then once its done your whole house you can set what needs to be mopped and what need to be vacuumed in the app and then it will stay out of areas like the bedrooms or other carpeted rooms. The lidar is super nice. I don’t have to use any manual effort in removing items that are potential roadblocks. The self emptying feature is amazingly nice, however I do have say I wish that it used a bagless container in the dock. But really past that I cannot complain much it definitely is nice to let the vacuum do most of the work and then I can just come back and do grab the corners. That is probably one other complaint about most of the robot vacuums that I have, is that they tend to miss the edges and corners. On hardwood floor, this does an amazing job removing all the dirt and dust particles and helps keep the floor super clean. It is a bit pricey but it does the job and worth all the money spent. Overall, this is an excellent robot vacuum cleaner and I love using this on a scheduled mode everyday and keep my home super clean. Great product and I would definitely recommend this to anyone.

The Smartest Robot Vacuum on the Market

One of the T9+'s best features is its TrueDetect 3D technology, which uses a combination of sensors to detect objects in real time and avoid them. This means that the T9+ is less likely to get stuck on furniture or other obstacles, and it can also avoid cords and other small objects that could damage it. The T9+ also has a powerful suction system that can pick up dirt, dust, and even pet hair on both hard floors and carpets. The OZMO Pro 2.0 oscillating mopping system also does a good job of cleaning floors, and the 4-level water adjustment allows you to customize the cleaning level to your needs. Another great feature of the T9+ is its Auto-Empty Station. This station automatically empties the T9+'s dustbin after each cleaning, so you don't have to worry about emptying it yourself. This means that you can go for up to 60 days without having to empty the dustbin, which is a huge convenience.

Unprofessional and unreliable products. Bought Deebot T9 in January 2023, it worked fine for few months and then cleaning became inconsistent. Sent for repair but the cleaning is still inconsistent. Both the customer support and reseller denied further help. Total waste of money for the substandard product and NOT recommended at all!
