Retired my 8 year old Ecovac with this T9 model. Absolutely love that it mapped to house effortlessly, can vacuum and mop at the same time. Battery level is amazing for my 2200 sqft home. Transitions from hardwood floor to tile to bathroom carpets effortlessly. Also ablento clean underneath the beds with ease. The auto cleaning and aroma feature is also very convenient. Excellent product for the price.

I've gone through most of the major robovac manufacturers. While I loved Neato's robot shape and performance I needed more and landed on the Ecovacs N8+. Between the self-emptying and the dust mop, I thought most of my needs were met. The Ecovacs mapping app can use quite a bit of work when it comes to separating rooms out but it was livable. Eventually it was time to replace and while the T8, when I got the N8, was out of my price range I decided to go a little further and instead of the N10, I picked up the T9 and I haven't been happier. It's a lot better than my N8 in almost every respect but balance demands Pros and Cons. - It got a 4/5 from me because when I bought it the T20 and X1 existed but were a little more expensive than I wanted to spend and they were objectively better - AIVI does a better job detecting objects on a solid floor vs carpet. It ate a 2x1 LEGO brick on medium pile carpet, but consistently drove around an M&M on the tiled dining room floor. If everything is picked up and I want to make sure it gets *everything* then I turn off object detection. - The rubber flap at the front of the rotating brush can actually prevent small and lightweight object, popcorn, from being picked up. But the suction is incredible. - The air freshener stopped being noticeable after a couple of weeks. - The vibrating mopping pad is beyond awesome.

Great vacuum and spot mop has issues finding its way back to its base but does a great job at vacuuming and navigating the house amazing on carpet and tile.

I am comparing this with a Roomba j7+, which also features a vacuum and mop. Well, this Deebot does a comparable job of vacuuming, but it does a better job of mopping! The mopping tank is also larger, and the mopping pad “wiggles” to do a better job of scrubbing. Note that it still does not do a “great” job of mopping, as a human could put pressure on the mop to get up stubborn spots. This device is not heavy enough to put a lot of pressure on the mop pad, so you have to keep realistic expectations. But still, for what it is, the mopping action is as good as can be expected for a cleaner such as this. It does a decent job of mapping and planning a path, and the app is relatively easy to use. You get to choose how much suction, what kind of mopping action, and how much mopping fluid to use. The lidar map does a great job determining the room layout, and it does a good job finding it way back to the base to empty and recharge. But I mentioned a catch, and boy is it a big one, especially when compared to the Roomba j7+. The robot cannot choose NOT to mop. The mop is a unit that you can detach from the back. The issue is that when it is installed, it is going to be used. If you attach the mop, it will mop the ENTIRE floor. If there is an area that cannot be mopped (welcome mat, area rug, etc.) then that area will be SKIPPED ENTIRELY! This is the fatal flaw. The Roomba can actually deploy the mop when needed and retract it when going over carpet. The Deebot, on the other hand, cannot retract the mop. I installed the mopping unit, and it refused to go over the welcome mat in front of my front door. In fact, it seemed to get stuck. It would reach the mat, and then try to back up, pushing its rear end into furniture. If you want to just vacuum, you can remove the mopping unit and replace it with an air freshener unit (Ecovacs will happily sell you refills). Then I expect that it would happily cover the entire area. The bottom line is that this might be a great purchase if your area has very little or no carpeting. On the other hand, if you have a mix of carpet and plain floor, either get a robot that can retract the mop, or get a unit that lacks the mop entirely. Paying for this unit that has a mop that you won’t use seems a waste of money.

Life changing. My living/dining/kitchen would take a very long time to manually vac or mop. Huge time saver. More actuate than I could do with the mapping technology. The only caveat is the moping function isn’t for deep cleaning, but more for touch ups in between proper manual mopping. It also says only to use water but that’s not really suffice for disinfecting floors.
