My home is 1500 square feet. I purchased this eero 6 AX1800 extender because the eero 6 router and one extender could not cover that footage. With the addition of this extender the coverage is only slightly better. I was excited to have this eero mesh system because wifi, streaming and reliability were supposed to be markedly better than non-mesh systems. It seems to be an expensive nudge forward.

Slows down internet speed with the extra satellite

I bought the 3 mesh system. I thought it would help if I get another satellite to get a stronger signal. However, it is conflicting with the other 2 satellites and causing the entire system to slow the internet speed connection. No ethernet ports. I would not recommend buying this unit.

Wish I never returned my google nest

Returned our google nest to get this because reviews it said it was better. Very disappointed. Randomly assigns devices to hubs which often are not the closest. Only the main hub gets quoted download speeds all the others get under 100 and the main is over 500. If more than 3 devices in house are on it freezes up even though we have 4 hubs. Does not do what it claims. Had similar issue with nest but at least that one helped you troubleshoot. This one doesn’t let user have any control.

We had thought we upgraded. We went from a Google Mesh system to the Eero. Ever since then, we've had nothing but troubles with connections. We got frustrated and hooked our Google back up, and all the problems disappeared. Now unfortunately, can't return the Eeros as Best Buy only gave a two week return window. I had purchased 3!

Hi AmandaM. Thank you for providing feedback regarding your experience with the eero 6 system. I’m sorry to hear that you were having connectivity problems after switching systems. If reusing your old system’s SSID, you might need to go into the network settings of the devices that are having issues, delete the SSID information, power cycle the device, then reconnect to the SSID. If this doesn’t resolve your issue, call eero customer service at (877) 659-2347. They’re available Monday-Sunday 6am-8pm PT. I hope this helps. Have a great day! AmazonDevices

I love how simple this extender was to get setup. Seems to improve my WiFi signal quite a bit upstairs in my home where it was previously a little weak.

Long delay, lack real Homekit support

It makes things worse than before. I installed it to an existing Eero Pro 6 (3 units) network and put it in my garage where WiFi signal was weak. Homekit only recognized it as an 'unknown' device. My devices in the garage consistently could not connect to the extender. Even when it did, long delay in network communications; esp. in Homekit. The Eero Pro 6 is a great setup but this extender is a disappointment.

Not I don't have a erros router, but this is still meant to work with a non-erros router. Im not completely hopeless IT was, but also not a tech guru. For me, it was too hard to workout. They make you use the app to install, seems simple if I had an erros router, but was too hard basket for a non-erros router, so I ended up returning it

Hi CarolinaR. Thank you for providing feedback regarding your experience with the eero 6 Extender. An eero network has to start with an eero that has Ethernet ports. Because thhe eero 6 Extender does not have Ethernet ports, it can only be used as a wireless add-on to an existing eero network. I hope this helps. Have a great day! AmazonDevices
