Each eero 6 node provides coverage up to 1,500 sq. ft. Depending on the layout of your home and the materials used in its construction, more eeros could be needed. Strategically placing your eeros is the single most important step you can take to ensure your system provides fast, reliable WiFi to every room in your home. Here are some tips to follow: 1. Place eeros where they can talk to each other. 2. Place eeros on a hard, flat surface. 3. Keep your eeros out in the open. 4. Whenever possible, aim for direct line of sight between eeros. The fewer the walls between your eeros, the better. If this information doesn’t resolve your issue, call eero customer service at (877)659-2347. They’re available Monday-Sunday 6am-8pm PT. Although Eero help said we should combine our current Wi-Fi with their network, we opted to keep our original Wi-Fi account and have a second just dedicated to the camera system, just to make sure it received enough of a signal to operate without any issues.

I used a Nighthawk router for years with my provider but this mesh will not stay connected to the ISP and had to be force connected by customer service right out of the box. After customer service manually connected and updates completed the device disconnected and would not stay connected after the updates.

BUT after having it for a while and trying to fine tune it to our needs, it’s impossible!!! The Eero doesn’t give you the capabilities to pick which channel you want which devices to be connected to. In comparison, it’s like going from the customization capabilities of an Android and getting an iPhone. It’s just too basic.
