A real problem I discovered after getting home is that there are only 2 CAT5 connection which limits the number of devices you can wire directly. I had to pull out an old modem to correct the problem.

Here’s how to get your eero network online: 1. Download the eero app for iOS or Android on a phone or tablet with an internet connection. 2. Create an eero account or log in with your existing Amazon account information. 3. Unplug your old modem and router from power. 4. Connect your eero router to your modem using the included Ethernet cable. 5. Plug your eero router into an available power outlet, then reconnect your modem to power. If your modem is built into your current router, then you’ll connect the eero router to one of the Ethernet ports on your existing router. 6. Continue following the prompts in the app to set up your network. If you need any assistance, please reach out directly to eero customer support at (877) 659-2347. Have a great day!

Good Internet Throughout the House

With the new Eero system, we FINALLY have good internet throughout the house. I plan to buy another one for my office.

Talked to a lady store clerk who was extremely knowledgeable and suggested this. Something about my cable modem and router together in one unit isnt as good. So I bought this system and plugged into the back of my modem. Now I havent had one single problem. Wish I remembered her name and she would be in my review. Next time Im there at the store Im going to look for her and thank her.

Just make sure you have a decent cell signal while you are doing the setup — it got a little dicey for a minute while I figured out the logistics of running in and out of the house in between steps.

Their wifi range was so bad when I was at their house. I would get a speed test result in the single digits, when they were getting spectrum's base speeds (300mbps). After installing it they got significantly better speeds throughout the house, being able to stream 4k even in the farthest spot in the house. Wifi signal and speed was a night and day difference

The app does everything g for you amd self explanatory. Have very good range in 2700 sq ft home and even works well in front and back yard.

Streaming movies was terrible. Since purchase of this system we have absolutely no problems. I’m not technically savvy but set was simple.
