Great for improved internet. If your internet provider offers higher speeds, this works to expand the coverage.

Not a “Pro” device, personal data concerns

Was excited about a Wi-Fi 6e router at a great price, but with that price comes some very large limitations. Was coming from a Velop Wi-Fi 5 setup prior. Here are the limitations: - No browser interface to manage router, must use app - WPA3 support is beta, is really WPA2/WPA3 not WPA3 Personal - No ability for advanced network management, can’t configure a MAC address filter, which bands are in use, channels, anything - No ability to manually configure device prioritization Here are the privacy concerns: - By default, your email address and name are used and uploaded to Facebook to be used for targeted advertising not only by Eero, but any advertisers that uses audience targeting. You have to email them with a specific subject line to opt-out - By default, you are enrolled in a trial of their Secure service, which further uses your personal data - Your device unique IDs are collected and used for targeting products and services to you. This unique ID allows advertisers to create profiles and link activity across 3rd parties - Eero collects the unique IDs and MAC addresses of all devices that connect to your network With an extremely limited ability to manage advanced settings, no ability manage the device from a browser, you can only use the app, no ability to see detailed logging of traffic on your network or what the router actually is doing, limited support for WPA3…you would be better off spending more money and getting a Wi-Fi 6e router that does not obscure it’s management functions and logging and provides finer-grained control over configuration. This is not really a “Pro” device. If you are a novice and want an inexpensive 6e router and are not concerned about your personal data, then this is not a bad option. If you want more control over your network security and desire more transparency, try a device like Linksys Atlas AXE8400. That is what I am replacing this with.

[Employee of bestbuy] Great Router! I get connection all over the house. It’s a bit pricy, though for a good reason! 100% recommend, especially if you have a big home and a couple people living in it.

I have always heard good things about the Eero Wifi devices so I was excited to finally have one. So far I have found it to be a big improvement! PROS: - Unboxing these, I really like the size and style of them! They are a subtle low profile design and I like how it does not feel too bulky. Each device definitely has some premium weight to it and I like it. - Setup was overall a breeze! Any of the 3 devices can be the “main” device, so just set up the first one and they connect the other two! The App makes it easy and overall was a nice process. - The biggest perk about this new mesh system is its speed and that is on two fronts. First, it has 2.5 gbps Ethernet port so it can take in those high levels of speeds! Second, it is a Tri-Band router meaning it produces a 2.4Ghz for older devices, 5Ghz for most devices, and 6Ghz for faster newer devices. - I really like the WiFi 6E on this as well! It’s an even better version of WiFi 6 and really helps manage the increasing amount of WiFi devices we have in our home. - These are also great for smart home support! They have Thread and Zigbee built in, and have also said to support matter as well. Of course matter is still very new given it just rolled out a few weeks ago, but it’s still a great future proof piece of tech that will help connect your smart home even better. - On of course, getting to the results: the speed is fantastic! I have tested really solid speeds on my devices, no gaps in my coverage, and overall I have been really happy with the solid performance! CONS: - I wish each Eero device had more Ethernet ports. Each only has 1 in and 1 out. - The Eero app needs some work still. It feels too bulky and pushes you to try out its paid subscriptions as well. I mean you do not have to really ever touch the app once you are all set up if you do not want to, but I hope that Amazon / Eero makes some better improvements to this app. BOTTOM LINE: - Homes are relying more and more on quality WiFi as more devices become “smart”. The Eero Pro 6E is a great way to cover these needs! It has 3 bands for older to brand new devices, supports various standards for your smart home, and is blazing fast. I think they can still make some software related improvements but overall the hardware is fantastic and gives you reliable fast Wifi!

I was concerned it may not work with my current eero network. It did no problems. I had the previous eero pro system. This was easy to add/set up and allows me to leverage my multi-gig broadband. Great coverage and performance. The unit wired to my gateway locks in at 2.5G.

Bought this system to replace my five year old Google Mesh. My Google system delivered 900+ MBPs over ethernet and 400 wirelessly. The Eero Pro 6E never delivers more than 300 via ethernet and delivers 200-300 using Wi-Fi. I tried swapping the primary ethernet cable as well as using different ports. The results never changed. I contacted support and they said my setup is bad. When I reconnected Google, regardless of the ethernet cable, the speeds doubled across the board. For reference, I attached screen shots of my download speed at the router with Eero and without. I'll be returning this system and don't recommend acquisition.

Great product for high speed network over a large space! Not good for ceiling mount as it requires power and doesn’t support power over ethernet (poe)
