Frequent, Incurable Jamming

On the good side, ink is cheap and the print quality is excellent. On the not so good side, you have to buy the maintenance box on-line; while BB and others carry ink in the stores, they do not stock the maintenance box. On the bad side, the software has issues, and the issues are not fixed by the updates. On the really bad side, the printer jams almost all of the time. It is hard, sometimes impossible, to get it to print a hundred pages without jamming. I use only the highest quality, 24 lb paper, and this does not alleviate the problem. I cannot recommend this printer.

Dont' buy it

Big pain to make that happen. Should be clearer. Long setup, but wasn't hard. However it keeps going offline and we have to reboot it in order to get it to work again. We've had Brother products for years and decided to try Epson. Planning to dump this one and go back to Brother.

A bit costly, but in the long run not having to replace cartridges will make it worth the price. Most definitely not going back to ink cartridges.

I have a printer that I paid about $100 for and 6 years and thousands of prints later, it still works. I realize now; after checking on my account for my purchase date, that I failed to get an extended warranty. Printer no longer working, not my fault. Failure to get an extended warranty; definitely my fault.
