I have owned Epson printers in the past and loved them. This one was extremely disappointing in that it is incapable of printing on simple 80 pound weight card stock and that is what I print on the most. I mainly wanted to get decent prints on all the artwork I have bought in PDF format so that I could print the pictures on whatever paper I wished. But it appears anything heavier than plain ordinary copy paper is beyond this printer's capability. After the first 4 or 5 sheets of card stock printed the machine suddenly began making the most horrible sound - like its insides were being torn apart. I stopped the printing, took out the card stock, reinserted it back into the ONLY paper tray on it and tried again. The same thing happened again only this time it began making the horrible sound after the 3rd sheet of card stock and the 4th piece immediately jammed. I gave up trying to print on card stock. I did write to Epson and their reply was that the card stock was most likely too thick for the machine to be able to handle. I did read online at the BestBuy site that at least 2 people wrote that this printer could indeed handle card stock. My machine could not. Also very disappointing is that none of the tank machines are capable of printing directly on CD/DVD media, either, but at least I knew that before I bought it.
