I like the ease of setup and ample supply of ink that came with the printer. Like that the paper drawer in front holds a lot more paper than the rear feed printers. The printed text seems not as dark black as my old printer,but still adequate. Colors in photos are okay,but was expecting a bit more vibrant.

I purchased the Epson Eco-Tank ET-3830 after returning another brand’s laser printer. I’m happier with this inkjet Epson. Filling the ink tanks is a breeze. Set-up took a bit longer than anticipated. However, using the app makes it easy. This printer works well with Apple AirPrint. Printing and scanning (up to 1200 dpi) are easy and quality is very good. Printer settings are easy to change. Duplex printing is another feature I can’t do without. Doing away with ink cartridges and their cost was a top priority for me. I like the smaller footprint of this printer, too. The laser printer I returned printed great, however it caused the lights in my home office to flicker every time the printer printed. I discovered through some research and speaking with IT professionals, this can be a common concern with laser printers. Lasers require a lot of energy when warming up to print. They shouldn't be plugged into a UPS or surge protector either. So, lasers are not all they are cracked up to be and not for everyone. This Epson Eco-Tank prints in black/white and color, will save me in ink costs and doesn’t cause my lights to flicker!

Great printer for home use. Double-sided printing makes saving paper a breeze during large prints. Scanner is quick. Printing via wifi means I can have more desk space by putting the printer on a shelf. All in all, does what you need without much extra work. Ink is easy to fill up, and set up was smooth.

I was surprised how easy the setup was. It somehow connects to your WiFi network through the software when you install it to your computer so there’s no weird technical requirements when trying to set it up for printing. It just auto installs and then it’s just there to select moving forward wirelessly so that is really nice. I think for the price it is good for what you get. Obviously if you spend more money you’ll get a higher quality and higher print speed. I was printing about 18 pages 2 sided(which is nice there’s no paper reloading when doing this) but it takes about 10 mins or so to do that so it’s not super fast, but the quality is pretty good. I was using it to print study guides for an open book test I had to take and I was printing literally up to hour before I had to take the test and it did work flawlessly in that final hour so that is good. Refilling is pretty easy as well. I’d say overall for a budget printer this is a good option bc ink is cheap with refills and setup is very easy. I haven’t tried printing photos or high quality items but I imagine the quality may be better if you get a more expensive item but honesty this probably does the job for like 95% of use cases the quality is actually very good don’t want to downplay it.

The Epson printer is really nice. The Bluetooth connection is very solid and has not been a problem. The print quality is excellent from forms to pictures. The savings on the ink alone is reason enough to purchase this printer.

We have had Epson printers for many years. It is compact and the print quality is great. Best of all the Ecotank ink system saves a ton of money. You get many more pages and the old cartridges use the ink faster and is much more expensive.

This printer exceeds expectations. Pretty easy to set up. Glad we had a CD-ROM drive installed in our desktop computer because it makes download a lot easier. Was a little concerned about filling the tanks with ink but the key-top bottles are actually very easy to use. We print a lot of docs, text and images, and have been blown away by the speed and quality. Recommend using Epson matte presentation paper for images because it makes them extra clear and brilliant. We've already printed a ton and it's barely made a dent in the ink that came with the printer. Couldn't be happier!

What a relief! No more cartridges! Great print quality, prints from iPhone , iPad, and iMac. Setup is easy, but follow instructions carefully.

This is my first tank type printer so wasn't sure how it would be, we've had an Epson printer with cartridges for 15 years and was very happy with it so we purchased this one, it was easy to set up and prints well.

This was easy to set up and connect via air print and WIFI. It responds quickly and so far consistently and the print quality is fine for my purposes. The automatic duplex is great. So far, very pleased!

Great small printer for a small home office. It was easy to set up, fill the ink tanks, and begin printing. Quality is acceptable for printing and copying documents. Scanning capability works well but may be lower resolution if using it for photos.

Easy to use printer/scanner. Ink supply lasts a long time and is easy to refill. Fast prints of good quality both color and black & white. Front tray is better than loading paper from behind the printer. Compact and fairly light printer.

This is my second epson printer i wanted to try one with no cartridges really like the idea bottled ink this printer seems fast loads easy with plenty of paper got it on sale so price was ok really does a good job printing also doesn’t take up lots of room. Buy this one you want be sorry.

Epson printers have never failed me, and this one is no exception. I was an expat for 9 years, and when the Epson we brought to a Caribbean island died from salt air exposure, I was forced to buy a competitor’s printer. For me, even the lowest quality Epson was better than any locally purchased HP, and I missed my Epson. Back in the States now, I opted for the fill-as-needed ink supply of this printer. I could not believe how easily the ink went in, especially since my hands (I’m 72) often shake at inopportune times. No mess, no ink on fingers, no ink spilled on table top. Sooo easy and neat. And the print quality is exactly as good as I was used to with Epson products. I love Epson printers.

I really enjoy my Epson printer, print quality is great, it’s nice and speedy. I really enjoy the fill it yourself in containers. When are the major reasons I purchased this printer was for the ease of use with the ink. I was disappointed in HP moving to that subscription service for ink and making the ink cartridges proprietary. It’s just a giant scam on HP’s part and I think they’re going to continue to lose market she had due to this

Love this epson. I’m glad my cheaper version of this printer stopped working. Hugh difference in the extra $100 spent. Easy easy set up. Print quality much better. The only sad thing is that epson use to be more reasonable for a great produce.

This printer is very easy to setup, and prints fantastic. The ink is easy to load. Very happy with this printer. Would recommend this printer to anyone that has a home office or just needs a good all-around great printer.

Had the printer for about 2 months now. So far I am happy with it. It replaced my 5 yr old Epson which the print heads were wearing out on. The 3830 prints each page quickly and the colors are crisp. The set up was reasonable and the instructions were clear. It did take me several tries to get it installed on my home network. The wireless connection kept dropping so I plugged it in with an ethernet cable and that worked fine. One of the reasons I got this model was for the ethernet capability having had wireless connection issues with other peripherals. Weak signal or reception probably but this is likely a function of my home network. The printer and scanning functions have worked fine and that's what I mostly use. Based on that I would recommend this product keeping in mind the brief period of my experience.

I, like many others, have been fed up with the cost of constantly replacing ink cartridges in my printers, and the constant ads to sign up for a printer subscription service. So, I started doing some research and came across articles about the Epson EcoTank printers. This may have been the best choice I've made in years. The printer itself is fantastic, and the ink levels --after the initial scare from when the print heads filled themselves for the first time-- have barely budged, and we print a LOT. If you want to keep your great print quality, but also save a ton of money on ink, this (and I'm assuming others in the same family) printer is what you want!
