Color not very good
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really wanted to like this. But I just couldn't. It kept disconnecting from my wifi network. Kept saying "not connected." Also, the print was just not very good. The colors were significantly washed out compared to my previous Epson. Because of these, I returned it. My old Epson will just have to do.

Perhaps defective
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’m pretty tech savvy. Set up was ok with the app. However, problem with the paper tray sensor, error of being empty and also feeding all the paper through the machine after a small print job. Once installed on my Mac, got worse, with the inability to feed the paper at all and a factory error message. Returned.

Not compatible with Dell
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had to return it because it would not maintain a connection to the new computers purchased with it. Even after set up by Geek Squad and two remote sessions to fix the issue, still would not print consistently.

Overpriced for what it offers
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got it to replace 10 yeara old Canon MX922. This printer does not offer doible suded scan8. Print quality is OK, but not on the level of the price if the printer. I returned it and going back to Canon Pixma.

Will not scan
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This thing is garbage. Stopped scanning through the tray up top and when it does scan it will only take one page at a time. Save yourself the money cause it is an expensive printer and not worth the money.

Paper jams
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Lots of paper jams. Seems to jam up when you double-side a print. The scan option has yet to be figured out.

The scanner doesn't work---DO NOT BUY!!!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Piece of junk! The scanner doesn't work. When I try to use the scanner, it keeps saying it's not connected to the computer. I have a direct usb set up. I can print from the computer which means it's connected to the printer. So why, when I try to scan it says it's not connected??? I have been trying for hours now, looking online for help, looking a youtube videos, SOMETHING to try to find an answer but the little screen on the front keeps saying the printer and the computer are not connected...YES, I did download the Scanner 2 software and yes I checked my usb connections. SO I can only conclude that this is a defective printer. Now I have to go through the trouble of re-boxing it and returning it to Best Buy. I will never get anything that says epson on it again!!! Bringing it back tomorrow!

Very Disappointed in this Printer
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This printer is very flimsy, the paper tray is hard to access, the screen is so low and hard to read that I had to kneel to read it, and the colors printed very light. I returned it and bought an HP that cost far less. It’s sturdy, easy to access and the screen tilts up for ease of reading.

DON'T BOTHER!!
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Don't bother. Had nothing but problems with it refusing to print on every piece of paper we put in it without us having to run over and give it permission to print! Half the time won't scan and have to turn it off and on again. So frustrated I believe we're going to return it.

Epson ET-3850
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I just got my new printer hooked up and drivers loaded. I used the automatic document feeder when I scanned the first time - no problems. When I tried to scan a second document, the printer wouldn't feed at all. This $400 printer document feeder doesn't work at all, especially compared against the $100 HP printer I had before.

WIFI will not stay connected
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my 2nd 3850 in two days. Neither would stay connected to my WIFI. This is even true when sitting next to the WIFI router. Connects initially with "excellent" signal and then slips to "poor" rating and will not connect. There is no obvious documentation on this problem. I think it might be you need to have the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz channels on your modem named differently but not sure. We have 22 other devices on our home network and this new printer is the only one that will not work.

Very disappointed
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. In less than a month, there was a hardware issue with the printer, identified by Geek Squad. Printer was returned for full refund. If I hadn't purchased the warranty and had the machine more than 14 days the machine would have had to be sent back to the manufacturer. That just doesn't seem fair. Dislikes about machine: making a copy required pressing waaaay too many buttons. Papers would shoot out across the floor in spite of the extended paper holder.

Great for saving on ink, terrible at printing
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Have only bought ink once since I bought it a year ago which is great. However, this thing is soooo slow!! Prints out a single page fast, but takes a few minutes to spit out the next page half of the time. I wouldn't buy this again.
