I am no expert on printers, but seeing as my parent's previous HP printer lasted for around 10 years (only stopped working due to HP planned obsolescence by refusing to post available Windows 10 drivers to their website), I wanted another one with a long lifespan. After about a month my parents have had no complaints, so if you are simply looking for a review that says "follow the instructions, and you have a working printer/scanner" then this is the case for me. 4 stars instead of 5 due to the following: 1. The year is 2022, there is no call for only putting a 2.4 Ghz antenna inside the printer instead of a dual band 2.4/5 Ghz 2. They should put in bold letters at the top of the product description "DOES NOT COME WITH USB Type B CABLE". Hopefully you should have one laying around somewhere, but if not, you will need to buy one.

2 months in and it stopped working. Would recommend another printer

The ink supply is generous. No more of the frequent $85.00 ink cartridge purchases. The printer is Easy-to-Read use and does a great job for my purposes, which are invoicing and some colored proposal pages.

The printer works as advertised. However, the set up process is long and cumbersome. What happen to plug and play? This connects to wifi, and then calibrates, and then downloads something, and then calibrates again. It was a solid 30 minutes until I could actually print something.

The plusses are that the printer is easy to setup and the ink is cheap and last forever. The only thing keeping me from saying 5 stars is that it is not super fast printing. It isnt painfully slow but i wish it was a little faster.

Incredible printer. My main use is for printing digital download paper collections for scrapbooking and card making and the quality of the print is very impressive. I love that the ink lasts so long. I don’t know if the correct word is ‘saturation’ but the color saturation is very deep and true to the digital images online. Only downside was setting it up. I had to call in a neighbor to help me. It took a couple of hours but I was behind on updates on my desktop so we had to wait for all those to finish - so partially my fault. Adding the ink is super easy so that was great. Once it was all set up it’s very simple to use.

the price of the ink is a major influence when I buy a printer. the upfront cost may have been more, but I'll make up for it by not having to buy ink for at least the next 2 years. set up was almost hassle-free, the online youtube videos are a great help

We were in need for a new printer. The ease of setting this ET-3850 was great. The print quality for pictures is very nice. I would recommend this printer for anyone looking for a mid priced unit.

Love it. No more cartridges to dry out on me. Prints so much faster than what I had. Easy to set up as well.

I like this product and do like the savings on ink. I am still learning some details but once I do I like how simple it is. I had a Hewlett Packard printer for years.

Easy to setup amd use. One of the best printer I had purchase in awhile.

It’s been working extremely well! My daughter uses it constantly for her business and she wore it out. It has saved us a lot of money with the ink. You get a ton of printing projects done with one package of ink. Definitely buy another one when needed.

great printer. I bought it for home school purposes.It is a little slow on printing, but I think that is how it is. Also, I wish there was bluetooth capability, and a touch screen would be nice. Also, would be great if it did duplex scanning. Other than that, great product. The app itself is just OK. needs more advanced settings.

Good printer. Prints quickly and after many uses still has high ink level. Only minor negative thing, it is noisy but good thing is it prints so quickly!

Having recently retired. I needed a printer. This has fulfilled my needs in everyway. Loving the two side printing. Fantastic. Transferring documents though a process like with any printer. It's flawless. Now I'm double sided printing books and manuals for my tools and equipment. Finding binders to fit being the only issue. Absolutely Loving this printer. Images showing great detail. Yet to use photo paper. Though I'm expecting very good images.

Like you, I swam in reviews trying to find a new printer that would not be a disaster. Took the leap on this one for my Mac and really love it. The start-up was relatively easy (just had to download the drivers) but it works great. I think it prints really fast, contrary to some other reviews. I love the charging of the ink with the bottles (no more wondering how much I have left). And I can finally print using AirPrint from my phones - its so easy. Highly recommend.
