Very easy and quick to setup. Easy to fill with ink. Prints fast and clean.

Bought this because I've seen so many people rave about ecotank printers for waterslides and printable vinyl. I was so excited to finally be able to get one! But it was a complete nightmare! I don't know if I got defective ink or what, but I could not get a good quality print if my life depended on it. At first the ink kept smearing really bad. After changing paper settings and printings 20 pages of disaster images, it seemed to start printing better. But even then, it could look flawless when it was finished printing, but as it sat to dry for a couple minutes, the ink would slowly bleed and/or pool up causing grainy, muddy photos. I even tried getting different brands of paper and vinyl thinking maybe it was the brand, but same results. I tried every setting the printer had, but still couldn't get a good quality print. Googled endlessly, watched a million YouTube videos. I finally gave up and returned it to save my own sanity.

very easy set up. and ink supply is so generous.. prints very clear copies and colors are intense!

We had an older model, but thankfully for investing for Totaltech and upgraded to this model. The option to scan easily with the top feeder is a plus, and to print double-sided too. The ink is a much cheaper option and does not dry out line the cartridges. The set up is a little tricky, but if you're slightly savy you won't have any issues.

Does everything I was looking for and more. I thought the quality could have been a little better at this price point but maybe that is just the market. Love the refillable ink cartridges and the amount of ink included.

So far, no problems. It was easy to install on USB and WiFi. Eco Tank filling is really a nice feature. I have printed several large photos on glossy paper with very nice results. I have printed several color two sided documents. The scanner works almost identically to my old NX300. I haven't had a need to use the ADF as yet.

Easy to use, lasts a long time, and the ink lasts an especially long time.

I did have a bit of trouble with setup, things got wonky when it was time to test the ink and wifi...but got it all sorted. Works well...only used it for a month, lightly -- so not sure how long ink lasts...but I know a bit extra was used during setup. All drops of ink from the bottles were added (very easy). I plan to try using art paper --fingers crossed! It is the reason I paid more...

I have to begin with the service we had from several employees...their names, of which sadly I have forgotten, were all so helpful to us! Our printer is working great and thank goodness for the geek squad that installed it, filled it with the ink, and connected it to our phones and computer, and showed us all about it! They were all amazing.

Easy ink filling. NO MORE CARTRIDGES! I like the small footprint of the printer. Easy paper filling. I also like the white instead of black exterior.

Good basic, economical printer/scanner. Print quality (color saturation) was a bit disappointing. Build quality seems a little cut rate. Small interface screen is not a touch screen, so the interface is cumbersome and out dated. Setup was easy with the smart phone interface. Comes with enough ink to totally fill the tanks, which is supposed to last a long time. Scanning resolution is limited to 600 DPI. No Fax with this model.

After I purchased the Epson EcoTank ET-4850 to replace my Canon printer and was so happy with it, I purchased the EcoTank ET-3850 printer for my daughter to replace her Canon printer because the ink was just to expensive. It works great and there is more ink in the bottles than there was in the cartridges. She is very pleased.

Form factor is designed well. Setup was fairly easy, but took time as I had to run through the setup twice due to an unknown glitch. Physical printer Controls & menu is simple. Printing selection for different sizes and types of paper can get confusing- not as simple as it can be. Printing Quality is good. Refilling ink is much cheaper and easy to do. Overall: it was a good buy; Able to do a lot, but I feel like it should be easier to utilize all its capabilities. Would buy again.
