I think it is a little hard to use this printer more than other printers like cannon or brother. But there are some benefits to use that-good quality photo print and various functions.

This printer is aimed at photo printing as its main objective. It does a good job printing text BUT MY MAIN USAGE IS FOR GREETING CARDS and this is not the one to buy if that is you main pursuit. For cards, you have to set up a template and then use its scanner function...seems too complicated to me. Also, you must remember to pull the output tray out otherwise, the print job will not proceed...it will just beep until you pull out the tray. All things considered, especially the price, I would recommend albeit with the aforementioned caveats.

I am not the kind of person who sets up my own computer system, but I decided to give this a try. It took me an afternoon to accomplish what could be done in less than a couple of hours, but I did it. The next day the printer would print computer originated documents, but not documents from the internet. I eventually learned how to reset these parameters. I am pleased with this printer in that I conquered it on my own. I have also learned how to use the scan and copy functions. For those who are put off by technology, this is a machine you can definitely figure out if you have the patience and commitment. There is more to learn, but I know that I will prevail with time.

It was easy to install although it did not come with a cable ( my computer is not set up for wireless), It was a little tricky getting it to print without some directions but we finally figured out you need to have the tray to catch the paper all the way out for it to print.

I bought this printer as a replacement for its earlier XP620 version. My main purpose for getting this was to print CD and DVD media, but it is a very good printer for all-around use as well. In every aspect I can determine, it's identical to the 620, except it uses different ink tanks. (Why is it that printer companies have to have different ink tanks for every printer?) Excellent print quality on CD/DVD and in "normal" mode for regular printing. The draft mode truly is just that. You wouldn't want to use it for anything that mattered (unlike my HP 5530.) Overall, a very good little printer at a very reasonable price.

Bought this Epson printer to replace an old one I bought years ago. Epson printers appear to be the only ones that can print directly on DVD discs. And the price is very reasonable.

A small footprint photo printer that's occasionally used for documents. Prints pretty quick and with great quality. Initial ink cartridges did a better than average job with color photo printing. I think I have found a great product. This does meet and exceed my needs.

Wish I had investigated this option earlier. It is so easy to print from your ipad, phone or laptop no matter where you are in the house. Even photos!! Used to send things to my desktop so I could print them. Now I do it from all of my sources.

I've used EPSON printers for years, rather than other brands, because EPSON offered a line of printers that could print color/BW labels on Cd's and DVD's, with great supporting software to create your own elegant designs for the labels. Now obsolete printers like the 580, 595, the Artisan 725 and 730 (the best ever!) were far more user-friendly than the currently available Expression Premium XP-640. You are forced to have the display panel tilted upwards and do a mandatory pull out of the tray for the printed document. Then to print a CD-label you have to load it into a removable tray and carefully reinsert it into its slot (one of three for further confusion!). By comparison, the Artisan 730, you push a panel button and the CD tray emerges automatically from the printer just far enough to put in the CD or DVD you wish to print. About the only improvement in the unbelievably heavy XP-640 is it has slightly smaller dimensions that the Artisan 730 which I would have gladly bought instead of the XP-640 had EPSON not discontinued this great printer. Good luck with it as you wrestle with all of its cumbersome manners of interacting with the user!

I bought this printer to use at a temporary office. I travel constantly for work and have a hotel room at one of my projects that I will be in and out of for a few months so I purchased this printer because it was inexpensive and did scanning and photo printing. The quality and speed of all functions are actually better than I anticipated and it's well worth the money. I was literally buying a printer that would do what I needed to do and then would either mail it back to my home office or donate it once my stay at the remote location was finished, I'll be mailing it back for the purpose of using it on future trips. It does what it says it does, nothing more. I have no use for it in my office as it doesn't have the functions I need daily such as larger format printing/cassettes and speed enough to run off large sets of documents. Perfect printer for a student or home-office.

I have been using this printer and love that it has the front facing display screen. It is much faster than my Canon MG6800. I didn't have any problem setting it up wirelessly to my router. This is my first Epson printer and I am very happy with it.
