Overall Great Photo Printer the Epson Xp-640
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a review for the Epson Expression XP-640 that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. The only issues I had were: that it took several try's to enable it to print over wifi, and the setup took a little longer than expected. I think there may be some bugs in the wifi connect set up. It will say it is set up and registered, but then will not work. After several attempts of setting up the wifi connect, it finally worked and I was able to use the wifi printing capability without needing to hook up a usb. Overall, this is a wonderful printer. It printed crisp and clear beautiful pictures and I am on a printing spree updating photos in my frames around the house. I am very thankful that I was able to beta test this printer and I enjoy having a printer specifically for printing photos, but with the capability of using for normal everyday printing if need be. Everything I have printed thus far has printed flawlessly!

Great photo printer.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Disclaimer: This is a review for the Epson Expression XP-640 that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. The printer was simple to use and easy to setup right out of the box. No manuals were needed as everything was pretty much self explanatory. Print quality was great for a inkjet printer and the few images that I have tried to print turned out quite well. Process of setting up the software and options on the printer itself was painless. The color screen helps greatly in choosing photos from the sd card slot on the side. I do wish that the ink capacities were higher than what they advertise on the box. However I've only printed a couple of pages and 1 or 2 images so far so I still have plenty of ink left. Overall I feel this is a great product for the household, especially those that like to print photos a lot.

Great Product
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First off this printer is great for the price. Was able to set it up with no issues. Did a fair bit of printing (since we have not had a printer in a while). It is fiarly quick at printing photos. Had to go get some quality paper for the pictures. I must say I was not disappointed with the quality of the pictures. My wife was quite excited to be able to have a proper printer again. Did a lot of looking around for a quality printer, for the price this one is amazing. To have the added support of being able to print something from your mobile device (ie; smartphone or tablet) is such a great feature to have. I do enjoy the touch screen aspect of the printer, very useful and user friendly. I would definitely recommend this printer to anyone else that is in need of a great quality printer.

Beautiful Photos!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It took me a while to get everything set up at first. The descriptions of the paper trays and the output tray werected very confusing. I read the instructions over and over again, then a light bulb went off in my head: where does the paper come out? Once I figured it all out, I was ready to go! I printed some flyers and photos on this new printer. They turned out great! I will be using this printer to print items for my etsy shop. Fantastic printer for the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This printer really impressed me with its capabilities. I like to print photos I take and the quality of the prints was far above what I expected from a printer in its class. This printer is quite small which really helps it blend into the environment. Its fairly easy on the eyes and quite nondescript which certainly helps things. The wireless functionality worked as expected - however I really wish there was an ethernet port so I could plug in a cable if I wanted to. My desire for a wired connection was really a result of a failed photo print. The printer started printing the job and somehow lost connection or something and caused the job to fail. This resulted in the waste of a page of photo paper and a non-trivial amount of ink. HOWEVER, this only occurred the first time I used it, and has not happened since. I did take away one star for that. In terms of print quality - the photo prints it produced are simply stunning. A lot of work went into processing my photos to make sure they look the way I want them to and the printer managed to reproduce them in pretty much exactly the way I was expecting. The quality and sharpness of the photos really do rival the quality of lab printouts so much so that I start to see flaws in my photos I didn't notice on my computer (not a fault of the printer at all, if anything its a positive). The other functionality outside of the printing capabilities are what really make this a great product. The built in scanner produces images of very high quality and best of all supports scanning wirelessly over the network. It even works without explicitly installing any drivers on the computer. Windows saw it as a network scanner and made it available to scan right away. I absolutely love this feature because it means I can quickly scan something without having it connected to my computer directly. The other ways of scanning are directly to an SD card or a USB drive - both of which are quite handy as well. Worth mentioning was that the setup was quite easy and straightforward and worked right away. It's not a touchscreen, but it definitely does the job just fine. This is a review for the Epson Expression XP-640 that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.

Great All Around Printer, love the size & Weight
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Epson Expression XP-640 is the perfect replacement for my HP printer. The set up was fairly easy and it found my wireless router and easily connected to my network. Even though I have had it for just about a week, I would have to give it five stars for the simplicity of its installation, as well as for the ease and quality of printing. Makes "hard wiring" redundant, replacing it effortlessly with a reliable wireless connection, given the fact that my router is on the 2nd floor. I’ve been using this print for a week but so far, this printer has been very excellent! I use it for printing both office documents and fine art prints, and it has done well with both. It's fast, quiet, and has great resolution. Over all, I really like this printer!

Epson Expression XP-640
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.“This is a review for the Epson Expression XP-640 that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.” So far I have used it to print, copy, scan and most importantly, to print many photos. The photo printing quality is super for the price. All of the features worked really well without any issues. I especially loved that I could print directly from my Iphone. Overall, this is a great little printer that produces sharp clear copies and photo prints. The only thing I noticed is that the setup was a bit confusing with the paper trays, but aside from that I would definitely give this Epson, "Small In One printer" 5 stars!!!

Good printer for the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Replacing an HP Envy that was several years old and starting to jam regularly. Thus printer was easy to set up, and I like that it comes with I divided color cartridges. I felt like I was replacing ink way too often before. The build quality does not seem as sturdy as the envy, but is still good. The envy was a premium device. The Epson requires the output tray to be manually opened. Print quality is great and items come out quickly.

Great Quality
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A Christmas present that was needed. This printer does it all. Great for making copies at home, prints great pictures. Make all my greeting cards so need a great printer every month. And regular printing of typed items like emails or receipts for keeping records. The ink is the going price but lasts pretty long and can buy different colors when they run out and not just when one is low and others still have enough left.

Scan, upload, and print painlessly.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.*This is a review for the Epson Expression XP-640 that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. I'd like to share my unbiased experience in testing this particular printer. Social Media such as Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter rely so heavily on smartphones, tablets, and quick photo-editing apps. Gone are the days that you hope for the best and cross your fingers that the pictures that you paid to develop look somewhat decent. We are fortunate in this day and age to have the luxury of taking multiple pictures and deleting bad ones. We can print silly pictures from the sanctity of our own home without judgment!! I am very pleased to share that this printer was extremely easy to set up. It literally took me 5 minutes to unpack. Installing the software and reading the instructions took another 10 minutes. Figuring out how to remove the 2 tray paper cassette was the only issue that I had. I also want to note that the ink cartridges are smaller than I had anticipated. It takes 5. I am very pleased with the quality of the scanner. It's a great way document and share old family photos. I absolutely love how easy it is to scan a picture and upload it online. It is also super quick and easy to pick a picture from your smartphone or social media sites to print. I am very impressed with the print quality and the speed. It literally took about 21 seconds to print a 4" x 6" photo. I would recommend this photo printer for the new mom, dad, grandparent, or photo enthusiast. I would not recommend this printer for everyday document or coupon printing as the cost of the ink makes it cost prohibitive.

Great Printer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the simplicity of this printer. It has 2 sided printing and photo options that make this printer efficient and affordable. I t has a simple set up screen for wi-fi printing. Scanner is great for document reproductions. I love that you only have to replace one ink instead of all 5, just the empty one. This is a review for the Epson Expression XP-640 that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.

Very Good Printer at Good Price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After 30 days, this Epson printer has performed well at scanning, printing and copying. Print quality is very good, front and back, and smaller footprint than HP models helped it to fit in cabinet space better. Only issue is difficulty getting scanned items to send to computer via Wi-Fi connection - I have to use flash drive to transfer file. Printing from computer via Wi-Fi connection is no problem however.

Epson XP-640
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First thing you do is download the drivers from Epsons web sight. Install the firmware and drivers and follow the instruction's. Once that is done it asks you to print a test page. OK no problem. Well there is a catch tray that you have to pull out first before it would print. I finally figured that out and the printer is now working. Next is the WiFi set up. The touch screen is one of the worst I have ever used. You touch on letter or number and the curser jumps all over the place. So take your time. Also I inserted one wrong letter in the password and I couldn't figure out how to delete that letter. I just started all over again. I did try and install the printer this AM. But after many failures I just walked away. Came back a few hours later and uninstalled the firmware and drivers. Downloaded the firmware and drivers from the web page and this time it worked. I also set up WiFi again and it works.

Good Printer for the Price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a review for the Epson Expression XP-640 that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. Out of the box, I liked the feel and look. After further inspection, the paper trays are small, and are flimsy. The exit tray has to be pulled out completely before printing will start. The print quality was good. I printed a bunch of pictures on plain paper, and they are acceptable. I also printed on glossy paper, and the ink smeared. Not enough drying time. I went through all the ink printing about 50 pictures on plain paper. Overall, it's a good little printer for the cost.....but not a work horse.

Great size and features!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The size of this printer is just large enough to do what it needs to do, with a neat square design and smooth texture around it. This printer looks modern and professional. What I found most different about this printer, was that it came with " cassettes " and this is a feature I've never used before. Upon reading the instructions that came with the printer, it was easy to figure out how to use and place the cassettes. These come in handy when you are printing say, an envelope rather than a full letter. Installation was easy, using an included CD, and the wifi feature of the printer. Easy to setup with my home network too. Printing is easy, and the display lets you allow you to choose what you're printing, along with the size and paper type which is cool. Printing is smooth and the colors are clear and neat. I really enjoyed the sample pack of different photo paper that came with the printer. It's hard for me to tell which type of paper is which, so that was my only hangup. This is a review for the Epson Expression XP-640 that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review

Good for documents,not for photos
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this printer as beta tester, Looks good,as its small for all-in-one printer, but super light scanner cover, will break probably if continue to use scanner First thing i got when turned on, it required firmware update. Failed to print photos, tried all settings, cleaned head and did alignment, but still didn't workout, but print fine with documents, scanning experience is good. So will recommend this printer if just wanted to print document and scan documents

Great photos from a compact printer!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a review for the Epson Expression XP-640 that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. Overall, I'm very impressed with this printer. It is compact, yet still delivers high quality printing - and the capability of printing photos off of our phones and tablets is great. I also love to scrapbook, so having this printer available for when I need that "one last picture" to complete a page (rather than having to wait for developing it) is a BIG plus. I even plan to take this with me when I go on scrapbooking retreats! Probably my only "negative" feedback concerns the paper output tray. It took me a little while to figure out where it was hiding! Since the printer is so compact, all the trays are tucked away - but once you get used to it, it's fine.

Trouble Feeding paper
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this printer because it was on sale and this what the printer they were recommending. I could not get this printer to feed a piece of paper to save my life. I think I tried 20 times. The best I got was one paper Jam. Go with HP or Brother.
