This printer is great. The quality is amazing and the prints are even better. I would not buy any other brand, only Epson.

    Do Not Buy

I bought this printer exactly one month ago and at times it works fine. It's the other times that are so frustrating. I print about 6 black and white pages per week on average and after about a week I went to print a page and the printer started making a strange noise. Almost like it was locked up. It would not print. I had to hold the power button down for about 10-15 seconds until the printer would shut off. Since then I have had the same issue numerous times. Now it is to the point where I just never expect the printer to actually print. When it does actually print on the first try I am ecstatic. This is not acceptable so I decided to take it back to Best Buy. When I did they told me that I needed to go through Epson to get anything done. They were zero help and I will no longer be shopping at Best Buy because of this experience. I called Epson and ended up hanging up because I quickly realized that the amount of time I would spend on the phone with them was not worth the price of the printer. I will throw it away and buy a different brand. This is the first time I have ever written a review and I hate the fact that Best Buy frustrated me so badly that I felt the need to do so. I just wanted to warn others that Best Buy will absolutely not stand behind this product and I understand why. It is junk. Cheap enough though.…...

    Okay at first

Im a college student and had this printer my senior year of high school and for 2 1/2 years in college. Worked fine at first then started to print blurry and not even printing parts of the things I was printing. Printing started to smear on the page as well. Didn't even have it for 4 years and it is no longer working. I went to the maintenance part of the screen and tried all of the troubleshooting options MULTIPLE times and still never printed the same. Best buy worker said to not even bother fixing it or trying to clean it - should just buy a new one. Would not recommend this printer to a college or high school student who does a lot of printing. Great price for the printer but ink is extremely expensive and does not last long.

    Poor Choice

    Posted .

This is an inexpensive all-in-one printer and it is not worth the money. The cost of ownership is high due to the high cost of ink. It stops printing even if only one color is low. The WiFi connection setup is cumbersome and my 3 laptops (including 2 Windows-based and 1 Mac) stop communicating with this piece of junk frequently. I use different virus protection firewalls so can't blame the laptops. It is less expensive to replace with a different brand name than to fool with the Epson so-called customer service or non-existent tech support. Suspect all the good reviews to be paid reviewers or receivers of free samples.

It worked well at first until the firmware update.

The printer worked well for 5 months until I installed the firmware update. Until then I had been able to use OEM ink cartridges to save money on the ink, but after installing the update I could no longer use those cartridges. Epson refused to replace or refund me for the printer after needlessly crippling my printer. If I had known I would have to use Epson's expensive ink cartridges, I would never have purchased this printer in the first place. Rather than using Epson's cartridges, a set of which would cost almost as much as a new one of these printers, I bought a new printer from another manufacturer. Now that I see how Epson does business, I will never purchase another product from Epson again.

    Bad software

This all in one printer only does b&w print. Photos are problematic and can take up to 20 minutes. The print software is useless so you have to use windows overide to get anything.

    More work than it's worth

The printer itself disconnects, breaks, jams, and requires more ink and effort on your part than any printer I have ever used. This printer became essentially unusable after a month or so of usage, with a paper jam rendering the printer a helpless mass of machinery every time you try to print. Bestbuy only allows returns after 15 days of delivery, adding insult to injury.

    Worked good for 3 weeks

After very low page count ~ 10 web pages, 5 photos, it told me to change the cyan, magenta, and yellow inks at the same time. Relaced the cartridges, it said that it didn't recognize the cartridges. Saw on the internet that to clear this stupidity that I had to remove ALL the cartridges and reinstall. That worked. Now it wants a new photo black and doesn't recognize that cartridge. The reinstall cartridge trick didn't work this time. I used to like epson until I got this printer. These are Epson carts that it doesn't like.

Didn't work and customer service was horrible

I bought this printer two days ago and tried installing it today. I followed the directions of the printer, but when it was trying to adjust the ink cartilages, an error messaged popped up on the screen. I tried to align the ink again then called the customer service representative to see what was wrong. i told the customer service rep the serial number and he didn't speak great English so it took him a while for him to get the correct serial number. After that, I told him the error message and he kept telling me to press ok and see what it says. I did the same thing three times with the same error message coming up and he tried to get me to do it again. He then concluded that the printer was broken, and when I asked him if I could go to any Best Buy location to return it he did not know the answer. Ultimately, both the printer and customer service were the same low quality. This is the second printer I've gotten from Best Buy that has had problems :/.

    Absolute Garbage

This printer is poorly made and a giant headache all around. I bought it less than two days ago and it's jammed multiple times, and now it won't print at all, it doesn't recognize paper. When it did print, it was slow and the quality unimpressive. I've put it back in the box and will be returning it tomorrow. Avoid this printer at all costs, don't let a sale price fool you. You couldn't pay me to have this in my house.

Stopped working in less than 2 months

I received this printer for Christmas and it's already dead. It will no longer print anything from my P, after less than 2 months of light use. All pages come out blank. No error messages. Steps I've tried: - ink levels OK - nozzle clean - print head clean - alignment check - uninstall and reinstall latest drivers At the end of installation the test page printed fine, pages also print fine on maintenance checks, but the printer will not print virtually anything from my PC, from any program - all pages come out blank.

Don't Buy It!! Or any other Epson

Great printer, was very happy with it. Good Wi-Fi printing, good color, good scanning & copying. Then I installed the latest firmware upgrade. Imagine my surprise when it turned on after the upgrade and said it didn't recognize the cartridges anymore!! Turns out that the upgrade will prevent you from using ANY non-Epson cartridge in it. I don't have any Epson ink, so cannot print until I go buy Epson cartridges. Guarantee that I would never have bought this unit if I knew I had to use Epson cartridges only.

    Bad Printer

I gave this 1 star because its hard to use, the interface is not intuitive and is difficult to maneuver through. The ink that came with the printer ran out quickly. And the printing and copying are incredible slow. The old HP I had (same price) which I bought 10 years ago was much easier and faster. Its surprising the Epson can't make a better printer 10 years later.
