Firmware drags down an otherwise good printer

When it works, it produces good output and scans well. But if you're not using it constantly, it times out and you spend 20 minutes trying to get it to start responding to print requests. I've never had a modern printer that was this much trouble to actually use. I don't see myself going with an Epson printer in the future.

I love my Epson color printer. It does all that I need to do, I just hate that the fax feature was removed from these printers. I know that fax is not used that often, but I felt better having it if and when I needed it. Other than that, it works just fine..

I have always used Epson printers for home use. They are reliable and easy to use. This one is somewhat larger in size than my previous models. It is nice, but somewhat slow to process printing requests.

Liked my Canon Pixma better as allows you to continue printing in black and white when color cartridges are empty which the Epson doesn’t. Canon lasted longer too!

FIRST, the printer eats ink like crazy. SECOND, if one of the color inks runs out, you cannot print in black and white. And THIRD, replacing the paper is a nightmare because there are so many paper trays and finding the right now is a giant hassle.

The printer had the features I needed, including the document feeder for scanning. WiFi functionality has been spotty, but I don't attribute that to the device.

Seems to have some issues when it sits for a while. Also seems to go through lots of ink. Pretty good print quality for the money, not sure if I would buy again.

Prints documents fine once you can get it connected. Photos take forever to print. The Epson software is atrocious.

So far working fine. I don't do anything fancy, just print off the websites. I had a few hiccups at first, but have been able to figure everything out so far.

I mostly use this for a scanner and it has the automatic 2 sided scanning which I needed for notes in college. The scanning feature is awesome, high quality, and it was cheaper to buy this than a dedicated 2-sided scanner so it was a definite win for me.

A quality, budget-friendly, reliable printer. My second Epson and like much better than HP. Only thing I overlooked was fax capability. I have a dedicated second phone line for a fax-capable machine. Guess I will get used to scanning.

When my HP died after 3 or 4 years of use, I bought this printer in December 30th of 2018 after some research and review of the ratings. Also I was happy to have some potential savings on ink. The set up was easy, however after 14 months, Feb 2020, I went to replace the colored ink cartridges which were unexpired and purchased from Best Buy. The printer refuses to acknowledge the ink cartridges which are Epson cartridges. After reinstalling multiple times I contacted Best Buy for advise. Unfortunately because it was a "maintenance Error" the Geek rep could not assist over the phone and stated it was probably a print head issue. (Apparently on all 3 color heads!) But it cannot currently be serviced due to the current Store closure RE: COVID pandemic. So I invested in the printer but didn't actually buy the Geek Squad Service. (Basically, I feel manufactures should make good products and standby them!) Too bad for me it was only warranted through December of 2019. Even though I am not a huge printer user, I am now out of a working printer, the cost of the printer and $50 worth of Ink! I had to wait several years to even be able to buy a printer when the HP died. So this is VERY Disappointing! I love Best Buy, But this product is JUNK! I would also say, the ink can be very difficult to replace as the levers are tightly fitted under the lip of the frame and the release buttons are cheap plastic tabs. Something to consider for replacing.

I hate reviews. I think most of them are faked. I've had this printer less than a year and it's going down to the dumpster after I finish writing this. It has had issues with wifi printing since I got it. It will spit out blank pieces of paper and then decide not to print. I spent the entire day - yes, all of one day, trying to solve problems with it. I'm pretty tech savvy - I worked as a web developer for a long time and have been in computers my whole adult life. This is a hunk of crap and I would caution anyone - you are wasting your money on this. Finally after I thought I got it to print from my phone tonight - it went into some sort of "cycling mode" and it sucked all the ink out of every cartridge down to where it said there was nothing left. I just spent $20 on a brand new black cartridge today. What a fool I was. The quality also was never good. The heads never could align properly. Best Buy should consider taking this printer off their line up because it is a lemon that nobody should ever have to deal with.

Have had this for several weeks now, and it does everything I want it to. Like that the paper tray automatically comes out when you start to print, bt wish it would detract when you finish. Black cartridge has had to be replaced already, but did run off a lot of paper.

Not what I expected because I'm used to an HP printer. It has better features and love the slide in and out paper glide. I've not had a chance to print pictures yet. That will be the telling feature of this printer for if it is a real keeper.
